Lean in and Vote!

The election reminds me of this cheer we used to shout on the sidelines at games, growing up when I was a cheerleader. Now, more than other we need to Stand Up and Do Our Part. Never let our tongues diffuse into anger and separation; No one wins that way. It’s tough right now when we have never seen such lies, deception, Covid, brutality etc. But we must persevere and be the change we want to see in the world, so human kindness can restore the broken desparity of inhumanity and do our part to show up and vote. That we can do. I will admit that it’s not easy to stand in silence right now and I need to do better at being tolerant instead of being on a rant. But if you lean too far right be careful what wish for.

Here is a picture of me and one of my best friends Sue Pratt, in grade school.

Vote like your life depended on it……says Michelle Obama. It does!

    1. I love that you are looking forward to it. There is a measure on our ballot that wants to move the voting age from 18 to 17. It really is important if you want your voice heard.
Those were fun times Dulcy, you’re right.

      1. People sometimes say I have a Swedish accent.. Let’s see I have a little Irish, english, Swedish, German, I have the greek name lol.. maybe 1%. was so hoping to have some Native American Indian since I so relate to their earth giving rituals in me but no such luck. 🤣 and what about you?

  2. As I heard , no matter who wins the US elections , the president has a team behind him working from his political party .
I think also the wealthy capitalists and large corporations have influence on the US politics besides the public opinion of the people …

    1. The president can and does influence the people below and puppets do their job, some are fired if they don’t go along with the president as we have seen. But you are right a strong cabinet will help. Hopefully, our moral compass will see us through right now! ❤️ Thanks for your read and share!!! ❤️Cindy

  3. Voting is extremely important, I got to know much more about that after reading the book of hers. I hope more people turn up to vote this time, and hopefully vote for the right person this time. Good wishes, and these kinds posts are important. 🙌

  4. A very thoughtful post Cindy. Voting is one of our fundamental rights and many fought for this privilege that a democracy bestows upon its citizens. Everyone eligible should vote. Excellent post Cindy. 😇😇

  6. Thanks for the push. As a social studies educator, we encourage our students to vote, and we dare not neglect it even if we have lost our ballot (in the moving stuff!) and don’t like the candidates. As one wise old soul (not I) said, “It’s not just about the candidates, it’s about what the party stands for rather than for a personality.” It’s also about the propositions and other elections in our state.

    1. You’re welcome and thank you for the comment. I love that you encourage kids to take a stance and vote no matter what! I love the 2 wise souls hear. One that said it, one that told me and make it 3 because i will be repeating it. Thanks for sharing that wisdom! ❤️👏

  7. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion like the freedom of speech says. If we want change in this world, getting involved and voting would be the best course of action to do. Loved this Cindy.
