It’s Fri-Yay Funday and time to do something fun even if it’s turning up the music and dancing with your broom. Seriously, I actually do this or drag my cat or dog for a dance. 🤣 Turn up the music, kick up you heels and hit it. Yes, dance like no one is watching!

So, I looked up the definition of fun on Google because they know everything right?

WRONG!!!!!!!

But, it works for my post so I’m going with it.

DOES THAT SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?

NOT! Well, the light hearted pleasure, enjoyment is nice but cheat, trick, hoax… not so much!

Seeing red 

Riding on my new red Specialized bike just in time for Christmas. It’s fire engine red
just like my vintage Venus bike only loaded with all the bells and whistles; SCORE!

16 gears on the handles to get me up hills, 
A perfect fit, adjusted specifically to a tee for my weight and height.

It rides smoothly and shifting gears is a piece of cake.
The wind is at my back, the sun shines on my face, a perfect replacement and my butt’s not sore.

My son took me to check it out on a Facebook add he saw.  
He made sure that it fit my body right, examined all its parts  so sweet right?!!!!!

And then he said “Ok mom that’ll be 350.00 which was an amazing price for this 1,000 bike.|
I happily handed over the money and he said “I think Kristal’s going to love this”.

WTF?!!!!!!!!
Yes, I’m Seeing Red!

Good thing I love Kristal so much and for the record, he paid for the bike but I have to say, I was pretty excited for a minute.

      3. Plans? I sprained my left ankle and ruptured one ligament about a month ago. So, my dearest Cindy, my plans are to stay in bed and read and write. And yes, I need to turn grades in pretty soon so I am working on grading papers too 🙂

    1. Good Idea. I wondered why he was being so attentive adjusting just perfectly and staying behind me! Come to think of it he shortened it up a bit, she’s a little shorter than me. I guess i’m the back up. I get it if she doesn’t like it. You get it as a mom… 🤣❤️❤️Thanks Lisa!

    1. I know such an amazing man!!!! Ya know I didn’t see that..but I will I just love him in anything!!! Good in stand up too. You know I met him once.. he was friends with some of our friends.. such a kind hearted man as well.

      2. Oh I will for sure now that you are telling me. only once at a large gathering at a museum but we chatted and shook hands in the days we could touch someone.. lol. He was very down to earth and just a regular guy there. It was sad he developed his early illnes.. Thanks much. ❤️

  12. Well, I’m pleased you got to enjoy the bike for a moment! I miss my specialised which is 1000 miles away in my dad’s home. What with covid and Brexit, it might be a while before I see it again. But we have snow so plenty of fun is being had here! Have a great weekend xxx

    1. Yeah, I’m the suragote rider for now so I’ll get a few more in. Oh… I’ sorry you can’t ride it and see your Dad! Someday soon I hope. And oh how the kids love the snow. I imagine that to be so!!!! Drink a hot buttered rum for me.. I used to love to go but it’s gotten crazy pricey and I never want to risk falling although cross country skiing is great exercise! ❤️xoxoxo

      1. I really want to try cross country as downhill is too scary for me! All the slopes are closed at the moment but it looked like they were preparing them today so they could be back open tomorrow…I think the restrictions are lifting slightly🤞

  18. So happy your bicycle made it in time for Christmas season Cindy. 16 gears? That must be awesome. I said before that I preferred manual bikes because of the burrrnnnn but yours will definitely make me change my mind! 😆

Maybe it’s like the Supreme Court’s definition of Porn – We know it when we see it?” LOL Fun, you know it when it happens! Maybe, Dear you would have more pleased with the definition of “Joyous”, we’ll leave vocabulary lesson here! Ha! I could see you smiling and laughing as you wrote this whole post! So cute!

    1. Oh YAY Chuck, I’m so glad you liked it! I kow wasn’t he THE BEST!!!!! Amazing Soul is right but he saw the writing on the wall and I can’t say I blame him.
      It just came to me to do that and I liked it too. Yes, I do know when it happens🤣🤣🤣 And you did see through the looking glass that I was having fun writing it and laughing and smiling yes.

  31. Yay🎊🥳 I am up for it Cindy. I too rode a bicycle for 6 hours and went to a highway for the path to trek. But could not make it, I had a meeting which was important. The bicycle ride is super awesome, exciting and fun. A pleasure.

  36. This is such a fun post, Cindy. I loved Robin Williams, too. What a great scene. Can you imagine ANY grandma doing that??? The bike looks beautiful. Vince and I want to get ebikes like his son and his girlfriend have. There are tons of places to ride here, but it’s hilly – about a step down from San Francisco! 🙂 Hugs xxx
