Fri Yay Fun Day or WTF

Hi Friends,

If I am to be completely honest, I’m not feeling too fun at the moment. I have always been accused by my clients and most friends of being “too happy”. A dear client who transitioned at 86 used to say “OH NO, here comes Ms. Happy” when I showed up twice a week to put her through the exercise paces. The last thing she wanted to do with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) was see me and yet it was the high point in her day.

I think of her today and the many I have lost over the years ( B.C. before covid) that were so near and dear to my heart. Some of them who had weathered the storms of the ages and some not able to see their kids graduate and I know they would be turning over in their graves right now with the current state of affairs in our country,

I stay happy because I usually stay away from the news and don’t allow toxic informaion that I have no control over to invade my psyche. I energetically stay positive and send energy by tapping into divine truth that raises my level of counsousioness and recharges me so I can be a conduit for others to do the same. It does no good to go down the tubes when I know that healing is going on at it’s deepest level and cleansing out the toxity in a situation is vital, no matter how ugly it gets. We have a choice, we can align with the divine and be a vessle for light and love to enter through darkness or we can let it envelop us.

I was glued to the news inbetween clients and shaken like most people I know, as we watched the unfathomable of breaking into our capital and vandalizing sacred ground incited by our leaders. I’m not here to talk politics. This is a deep time of mourning no matter what you are for or against and violence and threatening our democracy no matter what, is deplorable and never ok. So, I guess you would say, I’m in shock and mourning.

I decided on January 1rst that I would write a quote everyday this year and at the end of the year, if I don’t have the book I’m workng on ready, I will have a book of meditative quotes from the year. I wrote this for next year.

Jan. 6th 2021

Let the music of silence fill your heart with stillness
The lyrics might be out of tune and your ears might need to filter out
The noises all around you
Surrender and let go as you dance through your day in light and love.

It’s hard to ignore voices of the outside world especially in despicable acts of violence trying to drown out truth.

How do me maintain composure and honor and do what’s right, when every ounce of you wants to retaliate?

It’s not easy to be witness to the atrocities of the world, destruction, violence, greed, anger, racism, rape;  whatever the case may be.  Last year today it was an assault to our democracy in America.  Wherever you live, who ever you are, you know the feeling of being a victim of unjust behavior.  We have every right to feel sad, scared and angry and yet we must remember that truth prevails and light overshadows darkness.

Our own inner world and mind can be as damaging to ourselves as what happens in the outside world.

Close your eyes and breath and ignite the light so we together can collectively find peace amidst chaos and confusion.  Breath in and breath out as you settle the restlessness in your bones, so you can be part of the solution not the problem.

Sing a song of joy and goodness as you ignite the light.

On a happy note, I ended up staying home while my husband and son headed to the lake last night so I could take care of my soul on a deep level and enjoy the stillness of the morning. I’ll head up later but in the meantime, the morning is heaven as it always is when the sun comes to greet the day and I’m cuddled in, nestled between the sheets with my beloved cats.

Ollie
Cassian my daughters new kitty (He’s not here but too cute not to share)
My beloved once feral Star

I’ll be wandering to the lake soon after meditaion and my morning ritual of writing and the fun will begin. However you find yourself, honor your feelings and heart and treat yourself well. Enjoy your weekend and find respite no matter what’s going on in your world. I’ll see you on Monday with some exercise tips and an interview that Yvette from Priorhouse did on me, in case you haven’t seen it yet.

And have fun. After all, it’s Friday Funday and someone has to do it, so it might as well be you.

Stay Blessed, be bold and know you are love.

❤️

Cindy

  1. Thanks Cindy! I can understand how you must be feeling a lot of hurt right now but you are so right that the healing starts from within. I have been writing on a similar subject for my Quarantine Diaries this week…thanks for those GORGEOUS cat photos: your white cat has the same name as my youngest son 😍 have a great time at the lake! ❤️

  2. Sorry about what’s happening in America Cindy. It’s calamitous and shocking that the world’s foremost democracy is shaken at this moment.

I do hope that die-hard Trump supporters accept the victory of Biden and allow peace to return to the country.

As for Happiness, I love your tips. News is usually tragic I mean and it’s hard being positive if we’re always glued to such negativity.

Thanks for the tips. It’s one of the reasons why I escape to happy places on the blogosphere like yours. I literally smile after reading your articles.

    Have a blessed day!!! 🥂

    1. Hey Ero,

Thanks for your listening ear and weighing in.
Yeah it’s pretty surreal and unbeleivable.

I know you have had a hard time dealing with the atrocities in Nicaragua as well and I’m truly sorry for that as well.

I would hope that we can come together so we can move forward once again united instead of divided.

I’m glad you like my Tips and you are so right we have to find happieness every minute we can find it and yet be honorable of our feelings so they don’t go underground. You are a dear heart and I truly apprecite you.

I will and you do the same although it’s getting late so I expect I should say evening!

      ❤️ xo

      1. The Nashville bombing was nuts. Just as I was starting the family FaceTime so we could all open gifts together I lost all phone, data and WiFi!!! I was able to get a friend with another carrier let my family know what happened and that I was ok. I was offline for 48 hours. I was really alone on Christmas. I did fine, but isolated is a weird way to spend Christmas.

      2. I’m probably 15 miles from downtown though some of my friends nearby swore they felt it. To think, we can’t call this domestic terrorism because it appears he had not intent to hurt people; just AT&T. A martyr for 5G. What a waste of a life. After the March tornado the last thing we needed was more distraction.

  5. A beautiful post. Thank you for your honesty. Like you, I try to limit the negative news etc I allow into my mind, especially if it something that is outside my control. I don’t want to be uninformed but neither do I want my mood for the day to be swamped and taken over by these other things. It prevents me being the person I want, and need, to be for others.
All the best with your book. I love the attitude you exude …

  7. I can understand how you feel Cindy. Its one of the bane of being a sensitive being. It’s difficult these times, when we all are learning to fight the enemy that isn’t even visible among many others that have existed for long. I hope the time away from everything rejuvenates you and brings you peace. 😇

This is one small fraction which we can never forget in our democracy which will prevail. You are so right.. being sensitive is harder for sure but definitely is good to be aware of so you don’t turn into the monsters we are combating.

All will unfold as it will and we can choose how much or how little to engage in it. I was reminding my Mom the same thing since she is still heavily grieving and her own heart can only handle so much. I know you will rediscover your center, especially when you have those beautiful views😍 The actions of some are not the beliefs of all and in these times I remind myself how important it is to continue to shine love, compassion, kindness and empathy to all especially in these trying times. Take good care of that gorgeous human vessel you are in my beautiful soulful sister❤❤❤

  12. Cindy, This is a very thoughtful and helpful post. I love the cat photos. Last night, I wrote a couple of pages of a poem listing grievances against DT. It was too depressing and negative, so I tossed it aside, and I still have not written anything. You and Dwight Roth both wrote wonderful posts on the subject. I will try again, but less will probably be more for me. Have a great day! ❤

I’m glad you found it useful as I didn’t want to be “Debbie Downer” or go into a rant but I just had to say something honest this morning. I too started to write different things and gave it up and then this is what came out this morning. It would have been unauthentic to say anything else. Of course it won’t ruin my day.. that’s not who we are but it would be nuts to not feel something in a country we were born and raised in if we didn’t have any feelings. Thank you so much for letting me know you feeelings. It will come to you durning the right time. I mean, we’re not done yet sadly! ❤️🤗❤️🤗🥰🌈

  13. Happy New year dear Cindy. I liked the cats. My 10 years cat died last year in September. I was curing my daughter of the coronavirus and she held the cat. We didn’t know, the coronavirus can be transfer to the animals. One day, healthy cat couldn’t breathe, couldn’t walk and bloated-up. We took to the vet. The vet said the coronavirus. Broke my daughter heart. I will find me a new cat soon. I like the company. More nice to me than the wife.

  14. I think it is more in the category of WTF, Cindy. If there is any good news (and there always is somewhere), it’s the fact that Trump and his followers have gone so far that an awful lot of people who have excused or supported his actions in the past, no longer can. There yet may be justice. The dark underbelly of Trumpism has been exposed for all to see.
On another note, if I could could achieve the attitude of the white cat in the first kitty photo, I think I would be pretty close to Nirvana! 🙂 If dark thoughts of Trump bother you over this coming weekend, just think of kitty. I intend to.Peace. –Curt

  21. I’m always happy to see cattos. 🤩💕

I kinda understand how hurtful it can be to have people dislike you or not want you around, simply because you are genuinely trying your best to be positive minded and happy. But I think I also realise why others might react so strongly against you. While their behavior is uncalled for, maybe it’s not so unnatural. See it as someone being incapable of feeping happy, someone who is supposedly mourning the loss of a person they held close, at that time, it’s understandable to give in to grief and feel sad or express the sorrow. Such sadness can also happen without physical or literal loss, in case of mental health patients. Those people need to confront and feel their sorrow. Being positive or happy around them isn’t your fault, but expecting them to cheer up might not be the best way to go about it and even if you don’t tell them or pressure them into being optimistic, it is possible they feel forced to look happy to match with your energy levels too. I’m not blaming anyone but trying to explain why this could be a reason for the harsh reactions you get. Don’t take it personally in short. Hugs 💕🥰

    1. Hi Shruba,

I’m glad you enjoyed the cattos.. such loves!

Yes, I wrote a piece on this yesterday on my walk (gotta love auto voice) ❤️
I think you are talking metaphorically with the current state of affairs I was refering to and compairing it to mental health issues? Or was it my being happy with clients? Sorry I’m a bit confused. I do think that violence is a reflection of not only greed and power but whatever has happened in their past and is erupting because it has to go somewhere. While it’s sad and evokes anger, we need to allow our feelings to be available to us so we can choose the high road.

I was refering to my clients that I am paid to see to exercise or do life coaching to help them fuction or reach their fitness goals. It’s tough when they are struggling with certain conditions. I agree I meet them where they are and I never force them to feel otherwise. Truth is, I wouldn’t be happy either with some of the conditions they struggle with. It’s just a feeling they get when I show up with a smile and they feel like hell but always better after our work together. I meet them where they are and we do what we can that day. When it’s time for them to take their last breath, which has happened quite a few times, I am there to hold them in my arms. You are so right…. we can never take it personally. Thanks for your thoughts and kind time in reading and insightful comments.
      Hugs back, ❤️🤗🥰

  23. I thought I had commented on this a couple of days ago but I mustn’t have hit “send” 😦
Like you, I try to limit my exposure to negative news, especially at the start of the day. I don’t want to have my mood for the day shaped by an unbalanced view of life, and nor do I want to pass a negative mood on to others. It’s not burying my head in the sand. It’s more liked taking a measured approach to dealing with the everything life throws at us in a balanced and healthy way.
Of course, we DO need to make time to reflect on the bad things that happen, and to deal with our own personal traumas and disappointments. It must be hard when you lose clients you’ve known and loved over many years. They leave such a hole in our hearts.
Anyway … I’m glad you were able to spend time at the lake and hope you had lots of fun over the weekend!!! Thanks, as always, for a great post!!!

    1. That happens to me too.
So smart of you! Our nervous systems can only handle so much at a time and we need to self select. You are sooo wise to do that and I agree it isn’t burying your head in the sand but preserving your well being.
Life is a series of disappointments and it’s how we deal with the bombardment and take good care of ourselves that’s so important.
Oh you’re so right, it definately is hard and leaves a hole in my heart but their gifts are always in my heart.
Yes, nice to get away.. off to play frisbee golf. Hope yours is going well too.
      awww thanks so much ❤️

  24. There are a lot of thoughts like this floating around WordPress today. For me this weekend was pretty lousy. My arthritis flared up and all I wanted to do was sit and write and basically do nothing. What’s the harm when even little things like taking a shower or going for a walk hurt? It’s so much easier to just sit and contemplate the gloom and doom of our society and those who wish to take over our lives. The world is wrapped in a blanket of melancholy, helplessness and hopelessness. We have reached the end of our ropes. But what can we do about it? I close my eyes to the news; I bury myself in my writing; I try to move around and do a little house cleaning … anything to keep my mind from going THERE. I think I’ll select The Beatles from my iPod playlist and go for a little walk. There’s a bit of sunshine this morning.

    1. Oh Nancy, you’re sooo right. I have to admit I watched a special on all of it last night and was just so surreal. There is no escaping what happened and when you aren’t feeling well it definitely is even harder. So sorry about your arthritis and I love when you said “I close my eyes to the news; I bury myself in my writing; I try to move around and do a little house cleaning … anything to keep my mind from going THERE. I think I’ll select The Beatles from my iPod playlist and go for a little walk.”
What a perfect remedy to combat the day. There is nobody quiite like the Beatles. Glad you got some sunshine and your iPod! Thanks so much for visiting and your kind comment. We will get through one aching body part at a time and hope that improves as well.

      1. One aching body part at a time! Love that!! We could all benefit from listening to The Beatles and practicing a little more love and kindness. As the saying goes “And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make”.

      1. Thank you my sunshine friend. Sending buckets of flowers, tied with silk ribbons made by silk worms. They should show up with the fairies some time tomorrow night. They are also bringing their friends the fireflies and Katy’s dragons. The dogs will love them and the cat’s will love the fairies. They will give them massages with their strong but tiny hands. There should be lots of activities going on. They will leave dust for you, it is magic, and you will be able to use it whenever you need to. Have fun with my little family of friends. Love xoxoxo Joni
