Do you ever feel discouraged by the amount of attempts you make at trying to get something right?

I do!!!!!! Just after I wrote the quote below and added it to a picture I took on Canva with my print over lay, I couldn’t remember how to upload it and I had to ask my son for help. It is one of my biggest fears because he quickly looses his patience and I am back to my 5 year old self feeling very inadequate. He can’t understand how I can’t remember something we have already done twice even though it’s in my notes. I’m a kinestetic learner which simply means I have to do it over and over again until it becomes second nature. If a few weeks goes by and I haven’t practiced it, it’s like starting over.

I burst into tears which I tried to push back to save face but couldn’t. It happened right after I taught my “No Gut’s No Glory” class on Zoom, which was a disaster, so I was a little more fragile than I usually am. So there you have it, I was a gutless glory mess. 🀣 After a year of doing this, I pretty much have it mastered but the internet guy came a couple of weeks ago to fix something else and ended up fouling up my studio connection and I lost service all throughout teaching. And yes, I had a few other things I was dealing with as well. I’m not usually this thin skinned but hey, it happens to the best of us!

My son apologized for being so short tempered which was appreciated. Now, I’m trying to figure out how I can open up this picture halfway in reader so the whole thing doesn’t show. However, I don’t dare ask him because I can’t handle the wrath of sonny boy again. I usually would ask my assistant that’s been with me for 4 years but he’s dropped off the face of the earth in the last 2 months. T, Call Home but don’t come looking for a job reference if you’re reading this because, seriously, this isn’t how you leave a job. Ok, I want my cash bonus back. 🀣 Just kidding but all of you, do take note if any of you are considering leaving your job; it doesn’t look good on your resume not to tie up loose ends and you might end up on someone’s post 🀣!!! So, I encourage you to go through the proper channels; Covid or No Covid.

All this is to say that I feel your pain, if you are anything like me or are dealing with a challenging day ahead. Keep breathing and rememeber you aren’t alone.

And with that, I now know why this quote I posted on Lisa’s post resonated so deeply with me yesterday (it wasn’t verbatim). Life is so predictably unpredictable. As soon as I said it, I knew I was going to post some version of it but I had no clue that I was writing it for myself until now. I hope it’s useful to you as well. Also, if you can easily explain how to open a picture just halfway in the event I didn’t do it right as a “teaser”, please do tell.

Thanks so much for your constant support and encouragement. Have a wonderful day ahead with blessings, laughter and always love.

Please remember to like (if you do of course), comment and or share. It truly is appreciated.

Cheers,

πŸ’–

Cindy

When your son is impatient with you, remind him who taught him how to use a spoon and wipe his butt! Works like a charm for me lol

My elder brother is the same as your son when our mom asks something related to technology, me, on the other hand, am the calmer one, I can repeatedly tell her the same thing again without tightening any facial muscle. Even sometimes when she wants to back off and tell me to type\do something on her behalf, I never do it and always tell her to do it on her own, no matter how much time it takes, I am there for her As she was for me when remembering 26 alphabets were a tedious task for me and she patiently made me remember all this πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ Cheer up Cindy πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ you are an inspiration!!!!!

My dearest Cindy, I am not going to say that those things are not frustrating. They are. But you are the one who teaches us to relax and be happy. Relax and be happy, sweetheart. Please.
I can’t tell you how many times I lost work. My poems ? I don’t even care about if I lose them. I lost serious academic research and I had the spend days to extract the data that I lost. It happens.
So, please, take it easy. You have so many people who love you. Be happy. You will get where you want to.
Sending huge hugs and plenty of love.

I so feel you. I don’t have a son or another person in my house to ask. I am working on creating yoga videos to share her and on socials and I get so frustrated. This study is not intuitive for me. This old dog learning new tricks spends lots of time on YouTube. I am moving slowly, but I am moving.

This post reminded me that hope is the fuel that has driven me the past 10 years and through all of my “failures” which I consider as attempts at living, fully and completely. Courageous bravery worn as armor in life, builds resilency and warrior strength. Great post my love. Powerful. Failure is a state of mind, each moment in life is a lesson to be learned. It’s all about perspective and when we can cut ourselves some slack, we learn more than when we beat ourselves up❀

Technology comes with blessings and many more frustrations. A phone call to Dell earlier this year, to do what I thought would be a painless update, turned into a complete loss of everything and a twelve-hour service call. Good times! I understand about a kinesthetic learner, especially with technology.

Oh, at least, he apologizes. My sisters are sometimes impatient with my mother when it comes to technology. I try not to be and think about how fast it will be to help her with the thing she wants done. I mean, complaining will certainly last longer than a few clicks. Stay up, dear Cindy!

Ah, what a refreshing post, Cindy. You are so correct. We must keep going, while understanding that failure is a part of success. They go together. I’ve had many, many, like all of us, technological blunders in the past year. One of my first staff meetings via Zoom was a complete disaster. Yet, standing and acknowledging that disaster, led me to new ways to think about staff meetings, and the people needed (tech help, please 🀣) to make sure they run smoothly. An excellent message and post, my dear friend. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
