It’s Raining Cats and Dogs on Fri-Yay Funday

We’re finally getting a little much needed rain which we desperately need. I know some of you are up to your eye balls in storms and snow and enjoying bursts of color after such a cold season. It’s too bad we can’t spread the wealth and have equal playing time so we’re not either flooding or in a drought. It’s always all or nothing.

My friend/ dog trainer came over for a visit with his dogs this week and they didn’t mind the cold and to my surprise jumped in the pool. It was the highlight of my week. Memories came flooding back of my kids jumping in puddles and loving the water. They loved nothing more than to slide down the hill in the mud and come back covered head to toe. We would hose them down and throw them in the tub for a bubble bath and I would sing “Splish Splash I was taking a bath”. Those days were never dull and always kept us on our toes and now they are fun movies in my head.

Hunter and his friend Karenin and New Friends Maple and and Enzo. I love how dogs make friends so quickly with a sniff. Wouldn’t probably go over too well for us. 🀣

This is just a silly diddily Word Play that quickly evolved thinking back in time.

Thanks soooo much for visiting today and have a great Friday and weekend. As for me, I ran out the door to a client thinking it was Thursday (don’t ask) and didn’t get to add the pics I wanted which are lost in space somewhere and I can’t seem to find them. This seems to be the story of my life these days. Have a great weekend and as always please like (if you do of course, comment and or share if the spirit moves you.

Stay well and have fun!

  1. That is very nice. Sometimes, an individual likes remembering his pat days, sometimes people lives on their memories. It is very useful to remember our past days.

  2. Cindy, here is a question for you. Can a parent remain dry while helping children with a bubble bath? I think it is nigh impossible. As for the Bobby Darin song, “Splish Splash” remains the most appropriate song to sing at these moments. Keith

    1. lol… was looking for the mom and dad pics in the bath with them.. 🀣
LOVE THE SONG and I was and will add but I thought it was thursday and darted out the door for a client but it’s Friday.. oye vey 🀣 gonna add thanks for the visit and the help! β€οΈπŸ’–

    2. alrighty, thanks… updated some pics (couldn’t find the good ones, always the way) but added the song thanks to you for the reminder! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

      1. Cindy, I had not thought of this in years, but a colleague used to organize a charity event in Winston-Salem, NC called the “Rubber Duck Regatta.” People, mainly kids, would put their number on a rubber duck and they would all start our on the Yadkin River. The winners would get prizes. The kids loved it. Funny, I cannot remember the charity. Keith

      2. Oh what a fun thing to do and I love you pulled up the memory… never mind the charity… lol. That may come to you when you’re sleeping. I had a collection on rubber duckies for the kids which we all loved back then. πŸ’– I’m tempted to teach my cat to actually swim.. 🀣

    1. Thanks Dwight! It was a fun surprise for me too.
Most cats don’t like the water Dwight but she came with skin issues and I bathed her everyday with a special shampoo when she was a baby, so she learned to love it. Thanks and you too! πŸ’–πŸ’–

Yes, and most cats don’t like water but one of mine does. I like it too but I sure wouldn’t fit in a ceramic bowl. 😹😹 Thanks for stopping in! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

  10. Wow Cindy loved watching this so much. Milo here loves water so much that if he hears any tap running in the house he will come running to it. All of the babies were so happy and loved the day. It was a beautiful day to be out. Also i have doubt that if ollie is a cat even. Ollie behaves just like Milo. Haha. Wonderful. 😍😍😍😍

    1. Awww sweet Milo. He’s water dog alright. You’ll have to get him a plastic pool like I will do for the cats and Harry this summer. They were so cute alright. Glad you liked it! Right?!!!! Ollie is actually a dog!!!! Maybe she and Milo would be friends.. lol! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’– thanks for the visit!!!
