THERE IS NO DISTANCE BETWEEN HEARTS THAT LOVE

So many miles away, I feel your pain and despair.
Your country is suffering and I am suffering with you because you are my friends.
I may have never met you physically but I know your heart.

I know your stories, I know your desires, I know your struggles, I know your purpose, I know your families, I know your work, your trials and tribulations, your ultimate highs and lows, your dreams and vision for a better tomorrow.

I know because you’ve shared them. And now when we’re miles apart, I wish there was something I could say or do to ease your pain that so many of you are experiencing and bring solace to your tired bodies and shattered souls.

My words may seem shallow but what I know is there is no distance between hearts that love. I know that things get worse before they get better. I know greed and immorality will never win in the end. I know justice will be served but too many people will be gone before that happens.

I know this is not fair, life is not fair, But I also know that God is love no matter how you see it, I am holding you in my mind’s eye and my heart every waking minute while you grieve your tears, and mend your bodies and your souls.

And while I’m sleeping, I send you light, love and healing. I’ve missed some of you so much and this is all I know that I can do to let you know. Turn it over to a higher power and let the wings of the angels be your wings while you heal.

Take good care my friend, be safe and trust that better days are coming. May the grace of God bestow you with love and courage while you brave the storm. With all the love my heart can muster and words that cast light in the dimness of despair. From the bottom of my heart, I truly care.

💖

Your kind and thoughtful words of compassion and support are much appreciated, Cindy.

I quibble with the phrase “life is not fair” even though I understand and agree with the basis for the statement. “Life” is neither fair nor unfair. Fairness and unfairness are human qualities. Only people have the ability to act fairly or unfairly. The phrase “life is not fair” is too often used by people as a cop out for their own actions that they know are unfair.

Take care, and thanks again for your kindness. John
