It is so important to respect, honor, and remember those who have given their lives for a cause larger than themselves, Cindy. Thank you.

On another note, I don’t know if you have caught it on my posts, I will be taking a break from. blogging on a regular basis this summer. I’ll still be posting occasionally, however— and checking in on your blog.:) It’s time to ponder the universe. Grin. I didn’t want you to think I got lost out in on the woods. –Curt

Let’s honor their sacrifice by living up to the lofty ideals on which this country was founded and we struggle to maintain today.

Soldiers are the reason why I am safely writing a comment on your post and you reading it safely. We must remember them and their sacrifices

Beautiful words Cindy! We have Remembrance Sunday but that’s in November. Everyone wears paper poppies but now the fields are full of real ones which will forever be associated with lost soldiers.

“If I die in a war zone, box me up and send me home.
Put my medals on my chest, tell my mom I did my best.
Tell my dad not to bow, he won’t get tension from me now.
Tell my bro to study perfectly, key of my bike will be his permanently.
Tell my sister not to be upset, her bro will take a long sleep after sunset.
Tell my Nation not to cry,

Because I’m a soldier born to die.”

– (Read it somewhere, thought to share these beautiful lines here)

#salute to all the soldiers out there.

Thank you for this reminder to honour and respect those that fought in the war. It’s important to remind ourselves of how much blood was shed in the past so that we can do all we can to prevent it from happening again in the future.

It is good to honour the dead, but most importantly to remember what they died for; peace, and freedom from oppression and bondage by those who wish to enslave the body and soul.
