Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Good Morning my friends,

Ollie and I wish you a happy fun Friday and weekending.

Fun is not always jumping up and down excitement but the sheer joy of seeing your efforts come into fruition.

I had so many stories about my cat escapades I wanted to share with you today and I will at some point, but going to my garden this morning was such a fun surprise it took precedence over anything else.

I’ve been trying to get my fig tree to grow for the last 10 years and every year it has 9 figs most of which are inedible. We finally moved it 3 years ago and it’s been such a disappointment. I couldn’t bring myself to even go down and look at anymore. My husband brought up the most delicious purple fig 3 days ago so I thought, oh I’ll go have a look expecting one or 2. There weren’t any big ones but to my amazement the tree is growing and flourishing, and I counted at least 30. YAYYYYY! I couldn’t be happier.

All beginnings start with a seed of hope, planted, watered and nurtured.
By setting our intentions, we keep our focus and weed our garden with patience
as we move forward towards our true natures magnificence.

We have planted 6 lemon trees over the years including 2 that my mom gave us to plant in honor of my MIL’s passing 4 years ago. One died and we moved another and bought 2 more and I’m hopeful we’ll have the same luck or I need to get my one daughter on it that seems to have a green thumb.

I was beginning to give up hope and yet on 3 plus acres of property and loving to eat from the garden, I just keep at it. My husband bought and nectarine tree this year from Costco (not some fancy nurseries we usually go to) and decided he would leave it in the pot and not put it in the ground. It’s fallen over umpteen times in the strong winds and lost a lot of its buds. He was so mad but not as mad as when I went and thinned them even more to create space for growth and send energy to that one bud to grow. To our surprise and amazement, just when we were starting to loose hope, we just ate the most delicious nectarine this morning and it was so juicy and satisfying.

I wish you everyday pleasures this weekend that give you substance to keep going on bleak days and moments that you may find yourself in when you start to loose hope. It’s always right around the corner, even when you can’t see it.

The fruits of our labor pays dividends but sometimes it takes walking away and trusting with the hope of a mustard.

Have a wonderful weekend with respite and renewal that feeds you deeply.

Blessings of Appreciation and Abundance.

💖

Cindy

Our nectarine is a big tree. The blossoms freeze almost every year. Nice you are getting nectarines and figs. Ollie looks beautiful and happy in that basket. Happy Friday and have a great weekend.

Most years the late frosts kill our fruit. Last the late frost killed the tatones so we had no cotton from the cottonwoods, which was kind of nice. In 2018 we had lots of fruit on every fruit tree. It was the first year out 5 on one plum beared fruit. It blooms really early and the blossoms always get frozen. This year we have some peaches, pears, and lots of crabapples and apples. I got two cherries off of our yellow bing cherry tree.

I’m happy to hear you’re having successes with your trees, especially the fig! My grandmother had a fig tree in her side yard when I was a child, and I LOVED eating those little fruits! I appreciate your loving, can-do spirit, Cindy. Thanks for being the inspiration that you are to so many! Have a lovely weekend! 🌞

You’re so sweet.I’m surrounded by apple orchids and so many fruit trees here but am afraid of having any on my property due to our neighborhood bears…lol.I was forced to bring in the bird feeders as well. So now my garden is simply flowers and herbs. Seeing yours brought me joy.Keep enjoying.💕

So glad you are getting fruit on your trees . I have had very good luck with trees I have bought at Costco for under twenty dollars .. my Myer lemon is now on its third year of growth and loaded with lemons for the second year. I highly recommend buying nursery items from Costco.😃. I really enjoyed reading your post this morning.
Planting the seed. Energy flows where your energy goes. You are a perfect example of speaking your truth and walking your talk . Have a beautiful blessed day and weekend. Go barefoot in your garden .💕❤️🥰

No in india, we have different different schools of guru sishya lineage. I believe in meditation philosophy of “kriya yog”. You can refer the book,” Autobiography of yogi”
By shri Paramhans yogananji. Apart from it, in india i personally know one or two yogi but very difficult to find true yogi or i can say impossible. Only crux of message is just be your own “Guru”. Thank you and have a nice day. 🙏🌷

Lovely photos, and congratulations on all your natural successes. I never had the patience for gardening, but my Dad loved it. We had a plum tree like your poor returners: it never gave us anything, although the apple trees always did. Then, one year, the plums came in abundance. We gave loads away, had them as desserts and my Mum made loads of jars of jam – we were still eating that the following year. But we never got another plum after that. I decided then that I didn’t understand nature!
