Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

We each have our time to shine.
Some of us come bursting forth
While others take their sweet time.

Reach to the sun blushing pink,
And take center stage while the others
Stand in your shadow.

Aromatic fragrance, your gifts spread
to all that stop to visit and they are
touched, never the same.

Time passes quickly, so enjoy the spotlight one last time.
Soon, it will be someone else’s turn.

Petals drop,
while fall’s chill
brings harvest of abundance.

Late Bloomer

The weather finally has started to change and cool off with gusty winds and alerts and we’re praying for some rain in California!!! My rain dances sure haven’t been working.

This one lone rose is beautiful last reminder to capture the moment. Have a beautiful day and remember to stop to appreciate the little moments of blessings all around you.

Blessings of Love,

💖

Cindy

Cindy, if you have ever been to high school reunions, this first stanza is very telling.

We each have our time to shine.
Some of us come bursting forth
While others take their sweet time.

Given the way I look, I surprise folks when I say I treasure the eclectic among us. Often, those eclectic folks are more appreciated once they get out into the mainstream world and realize how overrated popularity is. Keith

Cindy, well I wasn’t fishing for a compliment, but thank you immensely. My mentioning of looks is many think I am this ol’ conservative guy, when in truth, I love interesting and eclectic people, such as poetry writing yoga instructors. All the best, Keith

Hi Cindy!! Beautiful poem dear, loved it. We indeed should stop and appreciate what all is there at that very moment in our life ❤️💖 Lovely picture of the rose 🌹🌹🌹

Lovely poem. I like the line, Soon, it will be someone else’s turn. In our Woodlake Kiwanis club, that has definitely been the case. They lost a couple of their older leaders, including me. New ones have risen up and the club is stronger than ever.

Such a pretty rose! The poem is profound and the lines, exquisite- indeed, we all have our time to shine and before we know it, our time will be up 🙂 Late bloomers sre so underrepresented. Thanks for acknowledging our humble presence with this lovely poem ☺️ Here, a fully bloomed flower for you 🌹

PS: Reminded me of Konkani hymn (from my childhood)

“Please receive this flower, O Lord! ,
Flower of my good deeds and fortune.
Before it falls to the earth,
Make it your beloved flower”

Cindy my dear, what an outstanding, heartwarming, and thought-provoking poem! 🤔 I was a late bloomer in some things, but as the old adage says (in some cases of course) “Better late than never!” 🌺 🌹 🌷 I was thinking at my Hibiscus trees and due to the intense heat, although I watered them often, they did not bloom like I thought they would this year. A few days ago, I looked on my front porch and saw the most brilliant blossoms. 💐 Due to the circumstances, I guess you would say it bloomed right on time! Thanks so much for sharing this reminder Cindy!!! 😍 🥰 😘
