Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Brought to you from my home away from home.. First Pedicure in 2 years!!! Happy Feet!

When you you have nothing to say, just write
When you think it’s all been said, just write
When you’ve heard the same thing 100 times, just write
When you know others have too, just write

What you don’t know is……..

they’ve never been in this place at this time before
and either have you, just write!
It takes the one time when you are ripe and ready to hear the message

and today might be the day, just write
for you and for them.

When you feel hopeless and small and have nothing to say, just write
When there are so many great writers and you feel defeated before you start, just write
When your light has gone out and there is only darkness inside, just write
When you’re broken and small and feel you can’t go on, just write
When you’re ecstatic and just have to share, just write
When you are angry and sad, just write

When you’re happy and can’t contain it, just write
When you fumble your words and they don’t rhyme, just write!

All of the great writers started with a blank page, just write!
And when your ink has run dry with no words to say,
feel the peace inside, take a sigh, feeling grateful that you just wrote.

Sometimes writing comes so naturally that the words can’t come out fast enough and we can’t wait to share them. Other times no matter how hard we try we churn words over and over we still can’t quite come up with what we want to say, if anything at all.

When you are a perfectionist, it’s even harder and we can easily walk away or shelf our writing which is fine but what we know is writing begets writing. As writers we all come up against writers block and none of us like it but it happens, like it or not.
Just Write!

You can’t think yourself out of a writing block; you have to write yourself out of a thinking block.

Otherwise, we just need a blogging break which truly is important if you are going to sustain blogging or writing for that matter, over time. Creativity is generally sparked when we have enough down time, are going through something very deep, traveling, are having peak experiences or when you least expect it, which can be at the least convenient time.

Just ask my husband when suddenly I have something that wants to come through the pen in the middle of the night which is often. Sorry hon. As I’m remodeling our bedroom, I’m creating a little niche in a corner of our room where I can write in so I don’t disturb him since mine seems to occur more often than not at 3 a.m which is usually the same time we remember a great response to something we wish we would have said in the moment or remembered. Argh… but I’ve learned to take things as they come to me.

And I hear the Dali Lama would approve being up so early since rumor has it, that’s when he gets up everyday.

Writing is like surfing on a wild sea, in the middle of a moonless night, in a hailstorm, on a deserted island.Yeah… that about sums it up.

Every writing piece doesn’t have to be perfect so just share it anyway. No matter what you think about it, others may love it and I’ve only learned this by doing just that. I only advocate what I do and from my experience. I’m always amazed and so glad I posted and am always so blown away by the forgiveness of our community and their kind support. Sometimes it’s as though you’re writing because someone else needed to hear what you had to say, even it if doesn’t quite feel like you hit the mark. If you don’t share it, you rob the world of your gift that others might truly need to hear that day. There are also times that what truly speaks to me, doesn’t resonate with others but it was really important for me to share. Just Write!

If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word.

Trust it and write from your heart. When you write from your heart, your emotions are raw, honest and real and that’s what we are so desperate for these days with so much inauthenticity flying around. People can feel integrity and truth light years away. Just Write!

The Idea is to write it so that people hear it
and it slides through the brain and goes directly to the heart.

Remember, this is YOUR blog. You can write and say whatever you want to say but if you want anyone to read it and grow your readership, you may want to think about that as well. If you are using it to vent your frustrations, you will find others that also want to do the same so those are the readers you will attract which can easily turn into the blame game which may release some tension and anger but not contribute much to learning lessons and growth. There is so much finger pointing going around which gets us nowhere so think about what message you truly want to convey. Just Write!

Be loud about things that are important to you

My main message today is just to say how much I truly appreciate your support of my writing and your forgiveness when I write pieces that I feel are half baked and not exactly what it was I wanted to say. I know there is a way to say some things better but this is as close as I can get to what I’m trying to communicate right now. Something I often say to clients when they are feeling frustrated by lack of progress is “you have not been able to YET or AT THIS TIME because I know that it will hit like a lightbulb when the time is right.

I feel grateful to have a loving and forgiving forum to share my heart and my words, learn from yours and to support others on their blogging and writing path. I am so grateful for our community and the friendships we have formed. Thank you to all of my old friends and new friends and to all of you newbies in our W.P. community. Welcome aboard. Have fun and remember Just Write! Someone needs to hear your voice.

Thank you truly for being my inspiration, my follower and my friend in support in hopes and dreams for a better future for our children and the generations to come. Together this shared vision makes a difference.

With that, I will be on a blogging break for some R & R until Monday Nov. 15th (I think I said that…. haha) and will either be in full on hibernation or writing all of the time. We will have to see but if I’m not writing or visiting, you’ll know why. Have a great week and see you when I return. In the meantime stay blessed and just write❣️

Blessings of Love and Gratitude,

💖

Cindy

I love your “Just Write” poem. It’s so relatable to anyone who’s trying to keep this stuff up. And excellent tips about a writing space and taking breaks, all of it. So helpful. I’ve been doing this long enough now that I “just write,” but there are still times that I need some reminders to keep it all in perspective. Thank you. You go, girl.

Ha ha ha. It’s so fun, isn’t it? I wrote the down in my phone so as they came to me (sort of) so I wouldn’t forget them. I can’t wait to read/see your results. And delighted that you brought my book along, Cindy, but enjoy yourself and don’t read unless the mood strikes. Have fun. <3

I love it that you’ve been writing haikus up the hillside. Don’t trip! I jotted them down in my phone, which made remembering them easy. I can’t wait to read/see the result. And Thanks for bringing my book but no pressure to read. Just enjoy yourself. <3

Beautiful motivational tips, Cindy. All of the great writers started with a blank page, just write! If your words are followed, nobody will face writer’s block. In India, there are so many people who are early risers, getting up at 4, if not 3. PM Modi is one of them.

Enjoy your break, Cindy.

This is so beautiful, relatable, and timely. I haven’t written, nor read any posts, in almost two weeks due to personal issues and fatigue. There were days I wanted to reblog a previous post but didn’t.

You’re so right. We should just write for there are tons of things and reasons to write … Thank you.

Cindy, I appreciate the encouraging words. Any writer’s motto should simply be “just write.” My wife appreciates my early morning writing time while she sleeps.

Now THAT has made my whole year, thank you.
I’m not the best or even a A-1 writer but like you
said it doesn’t matter how well or good you are.

I love writing about things that may find someone
who is looking for that message to make their day
& sometimes it just makes things better to write
what is on our hearts just to get it out in the open.

Having a place of your own to write is so important. I take a little pad around with me and make sure I have it where ever I go. I certainly have times when I can’t think of a thing to write. When I write anyway it feels forced sometimes but each of us do what ever we can. Sending hugs and love my dear friend. xoxoxoxoxo

I am sorry I took so long. I don’t want to miss MasticadoresUSA or MasticadoresIndia posts and all my regulars and you blog a lot so it is hard to go in without taking time to enjoy. Tim is the same way, he is amazing always doing interesting things and his words and photography blows me away. Your posts are always filled with a mixture of interesting information. I don’t like feeling rushed. Yes, get a little notebook 📓 and even take it when you are watching TV as something on a show may stir a memory. Jot it down. You can construct an entire poem by an emotion set off by a good movie. Happy writing dear sweet Cindy. Love you ❤️🤗🦋💝
