Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Wiggle waggle take your Sweet time,
no need to rush even though

you’ve eaten my lunch.

I’ve searched every drawer, counter,
the fridge, car, and floor, not once
but thrice but no worries……

I know your life revolves
around being loved, walks, naps and massages
which I’m generally so happy to bestow upon you.

But it’s been four solid days now
and I’m pulling my hair out, greying by the minute because
my purse is nowhere to be found.

Of course it’s not your fault,
but it has to be here somewhere
Because I drove home with a keyless key.
What were the car manufacturers thinking?

Wiggle waggle and take your sweet time waiting for your next meal
looking as innocent as an angel
While all along you were the culprit

Mans best friend to the end
but right now I could strangle you!
Bad dog Hunter!

Ollie happily looking for the left over treats
Who me? I am an angel. You got the wrong guy. It was definitely Ollie or Star! 😇

How is it the times we are busiest we have these little snafus. It always seems to occur when we’re the busiest.  It just so happened we were planning our road trip and searching everywhere for my purse where my keyless key to my car was. I called everyone and everywhere and traced my every step but came up zippo. I have been known to put things in the freezer that belonged in a drawer 🤷‍♀️. I knew it was home because I couldn’t have gone anywhere without it.

The big problem was my drivers licensee and credit cards were in it an after 4 days of driving without a liscence and freaked out with my credit cards missing I was a wreck.

I came home and alas it was sitting on the table torn to shreds with everything there that my gardener had found in our field.  OMG I was soooo ecstatic I gave him all the cash from my purse.

Bad dog Hunter…. good job Nicolas (You’re an angel)!

The moral of the story is DON’T LEAVE DOG TREATS IN YOUR PURSE IF YOU HAVE ANIMALS and the dog really can eat homework parents, so believe your children once in awhile. Just sayin.

I was excited to share pictures of my trip and some haikus I made on the road but fingers crossed I hope to share them next Friday. The kids have already started arriving and the fun has just begun and with 20 for dinner on Thanksgiving, Yikes… I just hope I can write. I’m a bit behind in reading some of you which is a highlight in my day and may have a lapse.

Here’s a sneak preview of one of my treasured moments meeting Steve at his outside Gym on my beach walk in Santa Monica with his Trainer Betsy. His routine is impressive doing 30 sets of 360 push ups among other exercises every day and an hour walk with Betsy after. If you don’t have a TRX, they are amazing because you can take them anywhere and you have no excuses for not getting your workout in. We had a lovely chat and a lot in common which was a fun moment to share. So great to meet you Steve and keep up the great work! Please stay in touch!

Betsy making sure I stay away and Steve has water too!
That’s it Steve a little lower and flatter back! Impressive!

Have a fun Fri-Yay and make the most of situations that arise even if they challenge your patience. Stop and breath and remember to ride the rapid and just breath. Sometimes that’s all we can do.

Sending love and light in all you do!

💖

Cindy

We once drove half way to Lake Garda, then couldn’t find the keys when we stopped at the motorway services… Luckily they were not lost, only ‘misplaced!’

Dear Cindy,

The moral of the story is DON’T LEAVE DOG TREATS IN YOUR PURSE IF YOU HAVE ANIMALS

Perhaps the moral of the story is to TRAIN YOUR DOG(S) BETTER IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE DOG TREATS IN YOUR PURSE.

Dear Cindy,

I am glad that your purse was eventually found by your gardener, who may be specifically employed to look for your missing items in the future. 😉

As for the culprit:

Those TRX look pretty cool. I’m looking at getting a trainer or doing physical therapy. I’m going to the gym for my second time today. I rode the stationary bike for about 30 minutes yesterday with no ill effects as far as I know.

Hi Cindy,
I feel bad for you but poor little Hunter shouldn’t be blamed for following his instincts.
Plus, he is a hunter, he was hunting for goodies.
I am glad you recovered your items.
Wishing you a blessed weekend! ♥♥

We have ghosts. The kitties can see them. It’s really eerie when they are watching the ghosts that are doing things behind us.

My favorite part of the picture: the white cat examinig the wreckage:”Hunter, Hunter, Hunter…tsk tsk tsk. I would not want to be you right now.”

20 people for a meal, wow that is a big undertaking. So many distractions, try to stay focussed on your dishes, unlike this poor fellow and his banana bread.

OMG that is too hilarious Cindy. 😂 I’m glad that the situation didn’t drive you any crazier than it could have been girlfriend. There’s a show that comes on the TV, America’s Funniest Home Videos: Animal Edition that your dog would fit in perfectly…especially when he knows he did something wrong! 😲 LOL 🤣😆😂 Enjoy the rest of your evening!!! 😎

Hahahaha awww! Dogs are such cute lil Devils that you can’t even be mad at them.

My friend’s dog is teething and loves just trying to bite my hand (not painfully but just like grabbing it) and even though we say no to her, I really don’t mind because she’s so cute.

What a great story! Bill and I are cat people and don’t have dogs but I’ve lost enough stuff on my own to get what you must have been going through. What an ordeal! My sons have dogs and many items have either gone MIA or were chewed beyond recognition. Well, how brave are you having 20 people for Thanksgiving! We’re going to my son’s house where I can relax and watch someone else do the cooking; seems only right after hosting the holidays for so many years! Hope the St. Bernard puppy doesn’t run off with the turkey leg! Have a beautiful day and week ahead. 💕 🦃💐

You know how sometimes when you buy ice cream in the supermarket some brands are harder than others? Well, when I find a particularly hard container, I’ll nuke it for a few seconds just to soften it up a bit, make it easier to scoop out. The other night instead of putting the ice cream back in the freezer I put it back in the microwave where it sat all night only to be discovered by my husband the next morning! Holy cow! I felt like I was losing it – just couldn’t believe I did that!! Well, we had a good laugh over it and just chalked it up to being over-tired and distracted. I’m sure Thanksgiving will be great, even with a puppy the size of a small cow running around the house! The grand kids make everything ok. 💕 🌹 🌟
