Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

cheerful male and female running and holding hands on seashore

Your life is like a fine knit sweater
woven throughout my heart.
Thoughts of you kindle warmth of love,
keeping me cozy inside.

I look at the horizon and see glimmers of  your light,
your spark, your determination and fight.
Lost at sea at times, rudder in your hands. Determined, willful, at the ready,
as you tremble through excitement and fear.

You know where you’re heading,
even on the blustery nights,
or the heat of the day.
Your head raised  high
to meet the next challenge.

I’ve never doubted you for a minute.
I wear this sweater I’ve knitted for you
waiting at the water’s edge,
stitched and holding me together,
so I can send it with you on your journey,
to keep you warm from the love of your mother.

Happy Almost Xmas to my Son and to all of you …. a gift from my heart to yours!

I wish you all the warmth of the season to keep you warm and your light kindled bright. Keep the faith and vision you set for yourself and know that even when you can’t see the fruits of your labor, they are germenting under the surface, when you continue to take the necessary steps in dismal times. My son has been living with us for 2 years since the pandemic and helped his Dad in the insurance business, only to find it’s NOT his cup of tea. In the meantime, he has been applying for jobs in what he loves in business and just landed an amazing job effective Jan 9th. We are sooo excited for him to launch into his new calling.

Here’s to knitted words of your heart manifesting love, comfort and joy!

Blessings to you and all those you love,

💖

Cindy

Yeah.I know,my dear!! So I have seen your post on Dear Caswell’s blog, then your post attracted me…..most amazing poem on a mother’s feeling for her own son but I felt that that poem is full dedicated to Mother Nature.A Mother’s Nature of love is not different from The Love of The Nature.most welcome,my dear Cindy.xxxx💖

I like the knit sweater imagery here.
Unrelated, but I totally thought by “my son”, you were referring to your cat, until you mentioned your son getting a new job. I have not known cats to ever get jobs, so that’s how I knew you were referring to a human son. In any case, good luck to your son on his new job!

Oh Cindy, this is so heartfelt and I love the sweater as the symbol of your feelings for your son…and how even his own, completed self, is still woven into your heart.. I loved these lines too:
“I’ve never doubted you for a minute.
I wear this sweater I’ve knitted for you
waiting at the water’s edge,
stitched and holding me together.”
… Wow such a powerful image you knit along with the unconditional love you have for your son.
It’s very touching.
