Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

My Santa Maria Tree by Timothy Price

I am beyond thrilled to share the first poem as a Monthly Contributor on MastacadoresUsa Savor Tender Moments.

MasticadoresUSA, edited by the bestselling poet Gabriela Marie Milton, announced its monthly contributors on Monday, and I am so honored to be included amongst them. I am joined by other talented poets including Ingrid Wilson, Jeff Flesch, Timothy Price, Virginia Mateias and Matt Taggart. Our poetry will be featured regularly on the site every month. Follow the site for further updates, and to discover more fantastic poetry and keep submitting yours.

A special thanks to Gabriela for her continued efforts in support of this writing community!

Without further adieu, please enjoy my poem:

Savor Tender Moments

My eyes cast shadows
of reflections,
as you swoop down
nestled in under my arm.
Your branches reach
far and wide.

Time stands still
and feels like an eternity,
as we unite and take flight…….

I would be so pleased if you would continue to read my poem here

Please like there as well to contribute to their ongoing efforts of building community and honor of the arts for all of us.

Thank you so much for visiting and wishing you many tender moments of love and joy in your life today and always!

Blessings,

πŸ’–

Cindy

Cindy, nicely done. By the way, I wanted to share with you that in addition to the vaccines and booster shot, my ability to stave off the effects of COVID after a couple of days was also due to Yoga breathing I do daily over the last six years. I breathe so much better now (and snore less), focus on breathing in and out of my nose as I exercise. My COVID symptoms were more around a sore throat and some head congestion and headaches. Yet, I still did my exercises every morning. I thought I would share this with my favorite Yogi. Keith

Thanks and best wishes. My wife and other son got their boosters this past week. I stayed in quarantine a few extra days to make sure they had. As for the breathing, as a former high school athlete, I was taught to breath in through the nose and out through the mouth. In yoga, since the exertion is more holds and stretches, I breath in and out through my nose. That has helped immensely on more natural breathing when I sleep and am not exercising. I have wondered if this is why some heavier former athletes may have more sleep apnea problems.
