Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

northern lights during night time
Frédéric Chopin | Nocturne in B Major, Op. 9 No. 3 - YouTube
.. Nocturne: Frédéric Chopin Piano: François Chaplin Painting: Vincent van Gogh – Starry Night Over the Rhone

Longing comes from whispers of the heart,
lead by stirrings of the soul.
I close my eyes to tune into the waves,
crashing in a lullaby,
Chopin’s Music calling me home.

I wish upon a star and Raindrops
and let the magic carry me,
where distant lands emerge.
I waltz to this poetic geniuses
Nocturnes through Paris streets,
of shimmering light and stillness
of a starry night.

My heart becomes a melody
of love’s deep embrace,
enraptured in a trance of melodies
sweet escape.
Close your eyes and lay your burdens down.

Take my hand
and follow me
this life’s not long
but rich
with romantic interlude.

I’m honored for your visit and taking time to visit this morning. I don’t play piano or study music history although appreciate all kinds of music.

Sitting in meditation this morning this piece came to me and then I had the pleasure to get to know Frederic Chopin and his music as I researched more about him after I wrote this piece.

I had no idea Raindrops was a song he wrote when I wrote raindrops in this piece or how or why I would think of him. This is the gift of writing and meditating as it always surprises us and enriches our lives in some way.

I feel blessed by the gifts he shared at such a young age and this special quiet of the early morning shared. He would light candles and closed his eyes when he performed, It touched me because when I write, I always close my eyes (I always have a lot of editing to do after) but it helps me tune out the world and tune into my soul. I also light candles everyday for as long as I can remember.

Have a beautiful day and listen for the longing in your heart and soul and pay tribute to it’s gifts as you move through your day.

Blessings,

💖

Cindy

A gorgeous poem, Cindy! Uncanny how you wrote about raindrops without being aware of Raindrops being the title of a Chopin composition. I enjoyed the music. <3 Thank you for this lovely post! Hope you are feeling better!
