Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Wordless Wednesday, Hump Day and Fun Fri-Yay have come to you in one fell swoop this week. Today continues to have me throwing my hands up in wonderment. I do try not to be judgemental but some things just leave me perplexed and I wonder.

I wasn’t going to post today but as I continue to check the fence line where the Redwoods were cut, my neighbors have now made their business mine.

I wonder why, how or for what reason people would take wild animals out of their native environment to live in a corral when they are born to be wild and free.

So today, here you have it straight out of the “horse’s mouth” if you will:

Last Saturday I went for a visit and got a full on view. See for yourself:

Baby Zebra only 6 weeks old from Texas; Don’t ask, I have no answers only questions….

I went to see how I can start planting trees without breaking the bank since trees are so expensive and take a long time to grow and I was greeted by another surprise. This sure made last week’s Hump Day and this week’s even more of a reality than I could have possibly imagined.

BORN FREE

Alrighty so on to fun Fri-Yay NOT; which is a garage sale but I’m calling it an estate sale so I can get a few more dollars I hope. But mostly to move it since NO ONE will come any more for donations without it being in perfect condition. It makes me wonder if that’s why we have so much stuff that goes into our landfills sadly.

I’m sure we’ll have some fun but let’s just say I never thought I would do one of these again. Never say never. The good news is we’re emptying out and the remodel starts next week when the fun will have just begun.. Hahahahahahahaaha! 🤣

Have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend until we meet again next Monday for Part 4 of Putting your Dreams into action.

Keep Smiling!

💖

Cindy

Wow those are some unusual pets! I was amused to hear you say – sorry you have to be in a cage :)) Loved that you said it. Wishing you happy times with your clearing out sale and the remodeling! Look forward to your Monday’s walk(perhaps) and talk on Dreams into Action.

I will consider the invitation :)) Yes I get it about judgment and heart – maybe the animals do need your heart and it is important you visit them.

Maybe your neighbors are related to Pablo Escobar. He had a full zoo on his property. I hope you are upwind. 🦓💩
I hope the estate sale and remodel go well. 🤗❤️🙏

I agree with Pragalbha. I appreciate you saying that it is a shame they have to live in cages. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
I do like your vision of the estate sale instead of garage sale. It is all about the marketing.

Cindy, I am so glad you are finally getting the bathroom of your dreams! I hope it lives up to your expectations. <3

Do you think your neighbors have a license to keep exotic animals?

WTF Cindy? 😲 He has a zebra on a leash and are those baby camels??? Who are you living next door to…Tiger King? SMDH I don’t think I need to comment any further because I have a lot of pent-up hostility brewing within right now and the expletives are not family friendly! I am just in shock! It seems like there should be some type of law against this. UGH!!! 🤬😠😡

Wow Cindy, this is really odd. How are they even allowed to have these animals? It breaks my heart to see these animals on leashes. Good luck with solving this mystery. On a lighter note, I am so glad your remodeling will be happening soon. Good luck on the estate sale, I’m sure it will be a success .💕🙏💕

Must be something to learn you live next to a zoo! It is sad to see the zebra confined and without a zebra companion. 😢 They have a good neighbor in you, with your big heart. Good luck with the remodel! Been there done that a few times. 😭 Stressful, disruptive, and expensive. Worth it though!

It’s a surprise day indeed! These humans are shameless. They’ve now gone ahead and decided to cage wild animals, zebra?! 😆😂😂 very crazy! They are full of daring surprises. Good lack with the sale, dear. Can’t wait enough for Fri-Yay Funday. 💖💖

Actually there’s a lot that happens around that’s interestingly incomprehensible. Do you mean to say there will be no Fri-Yay? Oh I hope it will be available. 😒 Ya know how it does give me some sort of excitement and emotional leverage, dearest. 😀💖💖

Zebra’s can be quiet vicious, they’re not domestic horses. How would you even get a baby Zebra, I probably don’t want to know =/

Cindy, you go girl. Call it an Estate Sale. I recall when they started naming every apartment and condominium “luxury,” so “estate” is just par for the course. We love John Barry. We have recently worn out a CD of his select songs from various movies. “Born Free” is among them. “Out of Africa” and my wife’s favorite “Somewhere in Time” are also thereon. (She loves her some Christopher Reeve.) Keith

You’re unique, Cindy, but your neighbours are more than unique. Is it allowed in your country to keep wild animals as pets? Good wishes for your estate sale! Have fun, as always 👍💖

OMG Cindy, you are living next to a zoo! Is that a sanctuary, or do they have a petting zoo?
How exciting to start your renovations! I cannot wait for the before and after pictures.
I hope you make good money with the sale. It is crazy that we cannot even donate anything now. It pains me to throw good stuff out. Blessings! ♥

I’m still confused about the zebras. Strange. Anyway, good luck with planting, if you choose to plant, and the the garage, or rather, estate sale! 😅 Wonderful post, Cindy! ❤️

It’s just a pity they’re not free 😔

I wish humans would just let animals be free. I don’t go to zoos anymore because I can’t stand seeing so many animals used for profit. Good luck with the remodeling. It is so much work, but the end result is worth the chaos. Happy Saturday. I hope you visit my blog one of these days. 😊

While seeing the Zebra picture, a fun question popped up in my mind — Can we use a real Zebra on the Zebra crossing?

Oh, it’ll go against the 😥animal rights. Instead, it can be used in a story.😁

Cindy, WTH?? I certainly don’t mean to be unkind, but I’m thinking your new neighbors might live in a different world than ours? I mean, the animals are adorable, but ??? Please keep your distance in case they decide you might be a problem! And happy weekend! 🌞

Wow! A zoo next door for sure! You will have to put up a sign and charge people to come and look through the fence and see a baby Zebra and Camels. LOL!! The Zebra is very cute, as are the camels, but my question is what happens when they grow to become full size adults!
Hope you had a great “Estate Sale!”

Redwoods were cut? How old were they? Not far from our home a tree was cut because the dry leaves were thought to be litter! I kept wondering how could they. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I don’t understand the desire to capture and cage wild animals either, unless they’re in a situation where rescue is the only option and they live out their lives in loving care. A remodel? That’s exciting and there’s nothing quite as freeing as getting rid of stuff! Here’s to a productive weekend and a wonderful week ahead, Cindy.

Cindy, I hope your sale went well and people in a mood to shop! It’s always exciting to have a new project on the go in the house!

Blimey! I can’t believe someone is running a zoo with exotic animals next to you. You must have been shocked – here there would be so much red tape and forms to fill in it would be nigh impossible. As a huge fan of Joy Adamson’s books I have trouble enough visiting normal zoos with all their space and expertise and care.

Wishing you a lovely weekend! xx
