Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Just because
the world is upside down
and I was told it’s round,
I bought flowers
since my spirits are bouncing all around.

The birds still sing
Flowers abound
While visions of dark clouds
and blood orange skies surround.

Yes, I bought flowers
since my spirits are bouncing all around
and I sit in prayer and throw seeds to
Heartless leaders known and unknown.

Just because
it’s Fri-Yay Funday
I bought out all of the sunflowers in honor of Ukraine
because I’m not gonna let them win and get me down.
I bought flowers
just because
won’t you join me and stand our ground?

Have a wonderful Friday and week-ending and remember the best combat for anger and war is always love and support.

So be kind to you and in the words of Thich Nhat Hanh:

β€œWhen we walk like (we are rushing), we print anxiety and sorrow on the earth. We have to walk in a way that we only print peace and serenity on the earth… Be aware of the contact between your feet and the earth. Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

Blessings of Love Always,

Oh my gosh Cindy, what a deeply moving poem. πŸ™πŸΌ It reminds me of how (pre-pandemic) I used to occasionally buy flowers for myself, just because. πŸ’ I can relate and I concur with all points you made, in spite of the chaos going on all around the world. SMiLes Dear Cindy Such A BLeSSinG
Your Poem About the Beauty of Nature
Yes FLoWeRS Blooming Lifting Spring
Out of Winter Colors Out of Darkness

True Stormy Dark Grey BLoWing
Clouds Where i LiVE Before
Big Thunderbooms Come
And Even A Tornado
Warning to Boot

It’s Over with
We Are Okay
And It Was So Exhilarating
Dancing Around the Block Flying
In Balance With All Those Blowing

Winds Thanking God For Radar Yes
As Not Even A Raindrop Touched me

Until the Very End of the Dance Free
And the Beginning of the Raindrops to

Come Free Too Now

For The Rejuvenation
of Spring Fed On High
From Rain Drop Dreams

SMiLes It’s Nice Just
to Be A Leaf or Feather
in the Wind Living Forever
Now As Wind Pleases Coming Going…

Hehe, Only A Rather Small FRedwood Today..;)

Cindy, it does not help to wallow in sorrow or try to ignore this tragic war. Making a donation and buying flowers are two positive things we can do. I too, have sunflowers in my house, and made a small donation through UNICEF. I applaud the work Margo is doing. Many on WordPress have written in support of Ukraine. We cannot escape the pain we feel, but we can do something to help, however small. Thank you for reminding us of these truths. <3

“I bought flowers
just because
won’t you join me and stand our ground?”
I loved and appreciated this powerful offering of peace, how you make it and stand your ground. It keeps reaching me in resonance of where I am treading in the world too. Yes I too feel like I was told too many things about the world that I would like to believe and it just ain’t matching. Yet I am with you, not giving up, pouring my intention and prayer into making it so, what already isn’t so. Yes, I stand my ground with beauty and peace.

You have the right attitude. It’s hard to choose between reality of here and now where life is beautiful and calm, and imagining that we are in Ukraine with all the suffering going on. It would be so easy to internalize it, and somehow we have to do both.

I like the flowing joy in the I bought flowers just because !
Also the feet and meeting the earth thoughts were quite interesting
I used to be the fast one rushing
And one day back in 2001 – I was a counselor/case manager and was just doing what I did – when I met with a lady and she asked, “so you have a lot of irons in the fire today?” What? I asked – well it was her way of telling me I seemed super busy and rushed
Sigh
Part of it was not necessarily rushing – but as a high energy person I was being joyful and mocking me!
Some walk slow and so sophisticated and that is them!
Anyhoo -/ I learned to slow my stride a bit –
And what really helped (of course you know this as a coach and lifelong health pro) but working out helped!
Without realizing it – I wasn’t rushed – I was just a bit of an atheistic person who had pent up energy reserves and so buzzing around was some release.
But working out three to five times a week releases that and allows for the nice stride that is more socially pleasing ! Hahah
And prayers for Ukraine
