Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

There ain’t nothing I can’t do with a hammer and a helmet

Life’s trios come easy and hard so I always have a helmet and a hammer and turn my frown to smiles and sing…If I had a hammer because I’m finally going to have a shower and a tub too!
I’m singing you a song today for a prayer and some love!

Happy Fun Fri-Yay My friends,

I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a helluva a month and the hardships have been many BUT I’m taking each moment as it comes and trying to stay present as I forge ahead. My poetry has been a little reflective of not only our world but my days as I continue to face what comes my way. To be honest, I’m tired. I wear my heart on my sleeve and my emotions are on the surface. Thank God for a helmet.

They say life comes in 3’s and it does appear that way but I’m digging out (literally around here) and I’m celebrating some fun things that put the Yay in my day and one of them is Fun Fri-Yay and seeing all of you. Playing with the Emojikus with my Friend Goff James at Art, Music, Photography, Poetry and Quotations is always fun and we have a few players this month which was fun.

I’ll give you a tour of the update of my bedroom and bathroom so far and wait until you see my “No Mow” Lawn! I’m tickled and so is Hunter and Ollie.

Emojikus:

As you may know Goff and I coined Emojiku and invite you all to play if and when the spirit moves you. Thanks to Goff he handles all of the postings but feel free to reach out to me and well and he’ll get them up and out there and link to your post.

I love our comments in our posts because you never quite know where they will take you. See this one from my friend David over at Skeptic’s Kaddish and his AWESOME Emojiku.

Here’s the backstory of how David and I started our Emojiku:

From David:

you know, Cindy, since you always respond to my heart emojis with even more emojis, I sometimes wonder how long youโ€™d go on responding to me if I kept on responding back to you with more emojis ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿ˜œ โ€“ would we create an infinite emoji loop?!

From Me:

lol.. I know David. Maybe thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m never caught up. ha! ๐Ÿ˜‚
Maybe so ๐Ÿ˜˜
๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Emojiku rules
๐Ÿ˜˜ days start with a kiss and hug
๐Ÿ’– Stay loopy in love
ok your turn to play!! ๐Ÿ’– ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’–

From David:

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ friendly agreement
๐Ÿ˜˜ kisses fly across oceans
๐Ÿ’– hearts burst with sparkles

From Me:

Yes with me and Goff ….. Do you mind if I post it?

From David:

thereโ€™s a site for emojikus? seriously?
sure, I donโ€™t mind ๐Ÿ˜€

Without further ado.. our Spontaneous Collab Emojiku. TADA…..

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Emojiku rules
๐Ÿ˜˜ Days start with a kiss and hug
๐Ÿ’– Stay loopy in love
๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Friendly agreement
๐Ÿ˜˜ Kisses fly across oceans
๐Ÿ’– Hearts burst with Sparkles

Another Fun one my friend Phil at Perkins Designs at wrote after wrote my Hat’s off To President Zelenskky’s post Monday which was so touching is:

I tip my hat to you for your poetic acknowledgment of his courageous spirit, as well as condemning Russian President Putin as a war criminal. Indeed! If itโ€™s alright, Iโ€™d like to share a short poem I wroteโ€ฆ ( It wasn’t only just alright, it made my day. It’s the little things that matter most!)

๐ŸŒป A sunflower for sharing
๐Ÿ’ž Our hearts through words and caring
๐Ÿ“ฃ To speak aloud
๐Ÿ˜‡ Above the crowd
โ˜ฎ๏ธ With peace to guide our bearing

And finally, Goff and Cindy’s Emojiku for the month:

๐Ÿ’–  Hearts floating at sea
๐ŸŒŠ  Ride the waves collecting souls
๐ŸŒ”  Sun, Moon, Stars Shed light
๐Ÿ’–  Love unanchored drifts
๐ŸŒŠ  Lost amid the oceanโ€™s dreams
๐ŸŒ”  Neath the silver moon

Join in the emojiku fun and share

To participate use the three emoji prompts ๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿ˜˜ ๐Ÿ’–and place your response in My Comments Box at Goff’s site here.

Construction Update:

Let’s just say, it’s still enjoyable and our team is AWESOME but you best be there every step of the way especially when the ratio is 8 men to 1 woman …. mmmmmuaw. What can I say? My contractor, other half and subs, think everything always looks great esthetically when it comes to placement, as in where outlets and vents should go or how the doors open etc. Just ask a man if the toilet seat should remain up or down. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Your thoughts on this? I’ll bet ya most of the men will want it up and the woman will want it down. Makes sense to me. Ha! Oy vey!

Nothing makes me happier than everyone showing up and doing there job which is no small feat but like I said, I have my hammer. Maybe they’re afraid I’ll use it. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

We have passed our plumbing inspection! Yay! Inspection for insulation is Monday and then we start sheetrock and add doors next week and it will actually start taking shape.

And LOOK ๐Ÿ‘€…. I have a tub!

My No Mo: Artificial “Grass”

So, we finally have a date for Blaht’s wedding in September and a venue ( I think) and a dress. That is a hip hip hooray! Never mind it’s 4 months away and we don’t have a photographer or music of such, bridesmaids dresses etc but the bachelor and bachelorette parties are well underway. Priorities, priorities. I was thinking it might end up here and who the heck really knows what events might be here so I thought I best spruce up the garden a bit. My stepfather did teach me the 5 P’s. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

This one area outside my gym where my clients come has been a disaster and we can never get things to grow no matter how hard we try so after much debate about synthetic vs natural and it never growing we took the plunge and decided to Go for it. I know for the environmentalists there is a whole debate on plastics and the air etc but at least they are being recycled and with the absorbent water costs and rationing, every little bit helps.

As you know it rarely rains in California except the day we installed it but that didn’t stop these raining men in doing an amazing job. And look how happy the animals all are including me! I even taught outdoor yoga there the other day. It was awesome and makes my heart sing.

not letting a little rain stop them… done in 2 days what a process

As they say, if mama ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy!

Here’s to Sheereen our Lightening Bug who just said “take care Cindy, don’t stress much, work can be stressful sometimes. Just dance your way outโคโค๐Ÿ˜…”. I just thought of this song when she said it and there is no better time than to dance and sing than now. Thanks Nawaz! ๐Ÿ˜˜

To Peter Paul and Mary If I had a Hammer ( 1963 Performance)

And just one more thing… promise! I just had to share this with you. Remember when I said my mother in law came to visit as a hawk this when my stepdad died? Well we were driving in the car with my mom and my Father in law and he was looking at the brochure of my Stepdad’s funeral and said “Mom died April 10th too 4 years ago”. None of us even noticed that. We all just looked at each other with no skepticism at all.

The next day I went to my friends Dad’s celebration of life and she said “oh how wild, as soon as my dad died we started walking and 3 hawks flew overhead. It was my dad, my mom and my sister. I brought her 3 hawk feathers that day.

In closing, remember life is a journey, take each day as it comes, forge ahead, stay present and stop, look and listen to messages that are trying to make their way to your heart. Listen with your whole heart to the people you love, say no when you’ve had enough and need some respite. Love yourself so much that you can be the light of the world to others.

Thanks truly for tuning in and make it a wonderful Fun Fri-Yay and weekending!

๐Ÿ’–

No wonder you’re a bit tired! You have a lot going on, Cindy. Wow. I don’t know how you’re finding the time to write poetry and blog. Yikes. The house is going to look gorgeous and the yard already does. How beautiful and inviting. Hang in there and remember to be gentle with yourself and get plenty of rest. Hugs.

I enjoyed this to the very last. I love that the construction work is proceeding quite well. I’m happy for you, dear. I’m hopeful it will end well. Life can be pretty tough and tight at times during such projects, but don’t let anything pull down your confidence and break you down emotionally. “Stay afloat”. You have hardworking men who are committed to their duty. And, blimey, the no-maw lawn looks decent and cozy to take some yoga lessons on indeed!

Well, i’ve besides just picked a few more jewels of wits: the 5 Pโ€™s. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

And this wonderful quote:

Cindy. your property is stunning and the artificial turf is awesome –
also – yay to the tub!!

the emoji blogging fun sounds great and reminds me of a while ago – maybe six years ago – I was texting my mother and her replies were strange and didn’t feel like her. I then called her and told her – and she apologized and said she was driving and had my younger sister reply to me – not a big deal – but guess how I knew? – my mother used to always add a bunch of emojis and my sister didn’t – hahah – at that time – my mother liked the palm tree emojis – and I think this was at a time when we only had a few to choose from – and nowadays the grid of emoji options is almost too many – but hope y’all have fun with that

I might join in and play along at some time – so thanks for always being so inclusive – truly good energy here !

And I did notice (like Goff) how you used emojis as part of your style and I like it!
Want another quick story?
I think i shared this on a blog post somewhere – but when I was looking for health tips – I scoured the web for a couple ears on and off (long story but I had to rebuild my gut health – I had a seafood parasite and almost no stomach acid – etc) anyhow – this was around 2014 and I found this amazing site with connected blogs from the mid 2000s. Many of the folks were sharing their experience of healing from parasites and had separate blogs.
So they were all inactive and maybe they stopped around 2009 but the first big takeaway was how powerful of a resource that site was! Omg! And so you keep this in mind too – years from now folks will
Walk with you via your videos and various folks will soak up some of your tips and advice – it reminded me that these here blogs can be far reaching !
The second takeaway is the little tidbit I wanted to share as it relates to emojis –
One of the ladies – think it was the head coordinator of the site because she used do samples with her expensive microscope -and stopped doing that
Anyhow – I read this post from her with an apology –
She apologized to her readers because for months she had putting in the code for what she thought was a smile face (this was befor we had icons) and the keys she used was actually for the tongue sticking out emoji! she cracked me up
So all the time she thought she was sending people this ๐Ÿ˜Š
It was this ๐Ÿ˜œ
Hahahaha
We sure have come a long way with emojis

Well thanks for having posts that illicit stories!
And regarding your client – whew – I am not surprised that docs cannot help her – because our medical system has strengths for certain things (breaks, stitches, etc) but really fails when it comes to gut health (going back to medical school and what they are taught early on- it all relates to big pharma having their hands in the entries system)

And I do have a few suggestions for your client (and so sad that she is so young and has to wrestle with this !)
I am sure you have given her our seasoned feedback and so if his is a repeat just disregard it –
But she should immediately consider getting off the “unholy trinity” – which means get off all grains, no sugar or HFCS, and NO industrial seed oils (canola, vegetable, etc) – those three things need to be removed –
And he other tip is she needs to find a balance of supplements that will rebuild her bio terrain – and while everyone needs basics like a good mineral blend (ie – a good cal, mag, zinc and d3 blend) and a good b-complex – some folks need little supports like thymus glandulars and need to restore their gut flora and adrenal glands.
So your client might have had assaults on her health since she was in the womb. Or if she had a lot of antibiotics during her early years (like I did) she had the bio terrain breakdown slowly progressing for many years – and so rebuilding the body will take time.

Here is something for your client to Maybe check out (if not – no worries!!)
The site is that might offer her some fresh tips — https://morgellonspgpr.wordpress.com/all-articles/

Snippet from the terrain post:

“Everyone has heard of Louis Pasteur. He is considered the father of the โ€œGerm Theory of Medicineโ€ and he invented the process of pasteurization. Pasteur said that โ€œgerms cause illnessโ€ and we have to attack the microbes. Amidst a group of physicians and scientists, Claude Bernard made the statement: “The terrain is all; the germ is nothing,” and then drank down a glass of water filled with cholera and didnโ€™t get sick at all. When Pasteur was on his death bed he said “โ€ฆthe terrain is all” but no one listened, saying heโ€™s a raving man, dying and this final statement of his was ignored”. For more information on this see this link called โ€œThe Lost History of Medicineโ€ and you will find it to be a real eye opener, I cannot vouch that it is all true, but I tend to believe it and my current experiences are proving this out. The article also talks about Bรฉchamp who has been expunged from medical history, too bad. Also, for a very, very fascinating read see this article titled simply โ€œTerrainโ€ (astounding read, honestly, if nothing else read this article – https://www.cancersalves.com/articles/physiological_terrain.html).
