Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

person giving plate with fried eggs in form of face

I’m sure hoping for a Fun Friday since I’ve been fried from the glitches in the system and talking to WP for the last 4 days trying to fix a jet pack issue (a plug in ). NOT FUN!!! Basically, my site wasn’t showing up in Reader and very few people were able to see my post. Thanks for all of you who let me know and checked to see if you could find me. Fingers and Toes crossed it’s fixed today as they assure me it is when I hit publish!

It’s been a helluva week when I posted my Shout Out about Wounds I have Healed; The Poetry of Strong Woman which now gives breath to the meaning of this upcoming Anthology after this WP glitch. Writing the poetry and being accepted was easy compared to this debacle. If you missed my post, I would really appreciate your visit here so you can see the information about the book coming out in June.

I can’t thank you all enough for coming to my rescue when I realized my post wasn’t showing up in the reader. It’s not only embarrassing but I truly hate to trouble anyone because I know how busy you are. Not only that, but I wanted to give a shout out to our infamous Gabriela Maria Milton (Short Prose),and to see it not get the recognition it deserves along with our fearless publisher Ingrid Wilson (Experiments in Fiction)  and Nick, Nick Reeves who designed the cover, so it was really upsetting.

I was going to send you all of my screen shots from our conversation and try to do a helpful post with some WordPress cynicism but I’ll save that for another day. I don’t think I could stomach rehashing this again and besides it’s Fri-Yayyyy and time to have some fun.

The only thing that kept me going for the last 4 days was making this silly poem below. Then I thought of our friend Tim and his music and asked if he was game to do a collab and put music to my words 2 days ago. Being the Rock Star he is, he said Yes. We didn’t have time to rehearse or we would have a music video here for you and if my words matched his music we would accept signing agents. 😂 But what do you expect for 4 email exchanges. He would quickly splice my music and send back a version adding his magical instrumentals and drums. To know him is to love him and if you don’t, you’re in for a treat if you can stand my voice. Thank you my friend Tim from Off Center & Not Even for putting the Yay in my last couple of days and salvaging my week. Seriously, words can’t express my gratitude.

My words are below if you want to try and sing along while you have a listen.Written by Cindy and acoustic and music my Timothy Price:

Cobwebs like cotton candy
stuck in my head.
Mosquitoes
buzzing,
in and out of my head.
White noise,
loud noise,
sirens,
airplanes,
And wind,
I have no lens to protect my zen,
But I sit in my Santa Maria tree
Where I find peace and tranquillity.

Even the happiness
geniuses
at word press seem to deflect everything back on me.

So yes friends,
it’s a Fried Friday!
What happened to our Fri-Yayyyy Funday?

I sit on the sidewalk,
crack an egg in the heat
mix in some brains, to sink my teeth in.
These things shouldn’t matter but ask Dr Seuss…
green eggs and ham, end up in Spam.

Let the perfectionist go,
there is no need to stress,
you and I both know,
but still what can I say?

Cobwebs like cotton candy
stuck in my head.
Mosquitoes
buzzing,
in and out of my head.
White noise,
loud noise,
sirens,
airplanes,
And wind,
I have no lens to protect my zen,
But I sit in my Santa Maria tree
Where I find peace and tranquillity.

I do my best to put the Yay in the day,
so I close my goddamn computer
and go out and play.

I walk the streets
til my legs go numb,
and I land in a heap.
I can’t think anymore.

I breathe the best drug, oxygen free,
realizing this is just a bump as a blogger.

Lucky are we to have such glitches.
All the upset in the world
won’t help me get on Reader.

Thanks to you my kindred spirits,

for all that you did,
lending an ear and a hand.

Cobwebs like cotton candy
stuck in my head.
Mosquitoes
buzzing,
in and out of my head.
White noise,
loud noise,
sirens,
airplanes,
And wind,
I have no lens to protect my zen,
But I sit in my Santa Maria tree
Where I find peace and tranquillity.

So when your chips are down,
And you can’t see straight,
scribble your ink
or throw it to the the wind.

Take a breath
and put your big girl/ boy panties on
and deal my friends
that’s how we roll.

Groundhog Day or not,
it’s just another day
in work in the blogosphere,
so have no fear.

Soon your vision
will come into fruition
as you run the path,
with cotton candy  hair.

Cobwebs like cotton candy
stuck in my head.
Mosquitoes
buzzing,
in and out of my head.
White noise,
loud noise,
sirens,
airplanes,
And wind,
I have no lens to protect my zen,
But I sit in my Santa Maria tree
Where I find peace and tranquillity.

And now you are that Genius
that puts happiness back in your day
and the Fun in your Fri-Yay
for a super Funday.

My Santa Cynthia Tree from Timothy Price on his gorgeous property

If you want to know more about my Santa Cynthia Tree which I called Maria (Marie is my middle name) in my song that Tim gifted me, please read his post Un Arbol Con Santa Cynthia for Cindy which is a treasured gift and source of joy for me.

If you have been around WP for a while, I know you get how frustrating it can be to navigate at times. But if you are new, it’s enough to send you over the moon. I’m here to tell you, you can’t let them run away with the spoon! Stay the course. Sometimes I want to throw in the towel. I mean I do have a life and a busy one at that but there is something that is truly fulfilling and it’s because of the community we have built together and the support that moves me deeply. Thank from the bottom of my heart for your gift in friendship and having my back.

Have a wonderful Fri-Yayyyy and weekend!

Blessings of Love,

💖

Cindy

I could never sing that fast, sounds like you both had a lot of fun, nice lyrics and good tunes. Tim has the biggest heart he is always willing to have fun. He is also quite the musician, in fact what can’t Tim do. Nice collaboration, they are always fun. We all have to go out and play. Big hugs and love, Joni
