Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Heel ball toe,
Heel ball toe,
We walk
the sacred earth.

Toe ball heel,
Toe ball heel,
take each day
as it comes.

Life takes time
to learn and grow
so take it fast
or take it slow.

Speed bumps give us time
to stop and ponder,
tender moments shared.

Heel ball toe
Toe ball heel
in the end weโ€™ll know,
The journey makes it all worthwhile.

Time takes time my friend.
Step forward into what you want.
Step back from what you donโ€™t.
Sidestep things that donโ€™t matter.

Step up to those that do.
And when you spin in circles
step off the merry go round
and pause
and find your bearings.

Grateful
for another day.

Thanks Cindy. I love the flip flopping of walking style. More stealthy with the toe ball heel. Is that you walking on the sand? Of course, that begs an old 1960s song. “Walking in the sand….” Keith

Oh my gosh Cindy, what a great reminder to begin your awesome poem by describing “how” to walk. Now girl, I love it all, but especially this part:

Speed bumps give us time
to stop and ponder,
tender moments shared.

๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ Walking on the sand near the ocean symbolizes those speed bumps. You can’t walk too fast in sand. It makes you slow down and ruminate about the moment, whether you want to or not. Bravo my friend. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ This is a FANtabulous poem. So reflective and reflecting! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŽ†๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿฅ‚

Hi Cindy
This is a personal fav for me today because it has direct meaning – and empowers us to not passively let life happen to us

Step forward into what you want.
Step back from what you donโ€™t

Also – the stanzas dance and step around
Not sure how you did that ?
