Feet in sand,
at my Sonny boy,
Surfing with his best friend
Jack, on his first Father’s Day!
Memories of when they were young
while I cried and watched the waves crashing,
praying they wouldn’t be taken.
Now 2 grown men,
with the same spirit they had at 5;
Smiles have replaced tears
and I couldn’t be happier,
and neither could my proud hubby,
who’s not fond of sand
but crushes it on land.

A Parents Job is NEVER done! You carry them on your front for 9 months and your back for the rest of your life if you are lucky! And to think he accuses me of being too strict. 😂 Perhaps not strict enough!
We had a blast visiting. I literally almost got hit riding bikes yesterday but it wasn’t my day to die which reminds me to savor each waking moment.
Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, my Father In Law and my Husband who is the best Dad I know with the luckiest kids in the world!
