I’m so excited that my books came yesterday! It’s so much fun to start reading each of your poems.
We had a great time at our launch party Saturday, (thanks to Ingrid) and I loved sharing time together and reading our poetry together. I hope some of you tuned in so you could meet the authors.
When one woman’s vision brings hundreds together that bleed on the page sewing wounds from the past, sharing stories that bring closure and understanding, as we weep what was and celebrate what is!
That’s what happens when we collectively share our raw honest truths to bring hope to every woman no matter what nationality color, creed, gender, or sexual preference. We know some of you are still suffering at the hands of merciless terrorists or enslavement in bondage and brutalized.
Never give up hope, turn to those that can help and to divine guidance.
We are Stronger than anything that happens to us. Your pain is our pain and we are stronger together.

Congrats, Cindy. You look so proud and excited posing with the new book! Good for you! I’m happy for you and all those involved in creating this anthology. I think my late-mom would have loved this. She wasn’t much into poetry (and she never understood any of mine), but she would have appreciated the validation of enduring 52 years of an abusive marriage, decades of medical problems and never really having a voice of her own. She would have loved knowing she wasn’t alone, that other women understood and identified with her plight. I know she would have gotten a lot from this anthology. So, on behalf of my late-mom Victoria, kudos to you and the rest on this important project. 🙂

Oh that’s soooo sweet about your mom. She loved you though obviously and I imagine supported you. I’m like your mom in many ways as my words are pretty straight forward in poetry and I don’t understand everything either but it’s been fun learning, growing and trusting my voice. My mom is like your mom and me too but she loves me and is my biggest fan of my work. Wow, that’s a long time of abuse and my mom was in the same situation often so I think she will relate. Here is to your mom Victoria a strong woman with a strong song who just gave here a voice. Thank you truly Mike.
