Happy Fri-Yayyyyyy Everyone!

The days continue to surprise and entertain in perplexity which always require comic relief, so I don’t go mad. Seriously, I’m always surprised by what seems so logical and a no brainer to me, that isn’t clear to others. It continues to remind me of Murphy’s law and how anything and everything can go wrong. This is especially true in the world of contracting. I can imagine now how many of you laughed at me when I first started this project and was so excited and my contractors could do no wrong.

Yesterday’s word prompt on Twitter was Pot. They have a 365 day prompt so you could play every week if you wanted to by I’m so busy, I’ve alloted Thursday to play and the word was pot and I thought “I’ve got nothing” but as I sat with it for a bit the words made their way to the page, prompted by the night before when we went in to check out our project and walked into our toilet in the new bathroom, after they hung the door. Slight problem, you couldn’t bypass the toilet and close the door because there wasn’t enough room. We were like, “why didn’t they put and outswing door instead of having it open into the room”.

I called our architect and he said “I specced this for a small wall mount toilet, so it won’t work with a regular toilet.” We were irate and perplexed as this was never told to us, nor was it written on the plans. We truly couldn’t fathom how this happened and there was no communication about this. It’s an easy enough fix to turn the door around to an outswing, even if it won’t swing in the direction we would like, unless we buy a new door. At this point we’ll cut our losses, and live with it and see how it goes instead of pouring more money into it.

So here is my Twitter Poem I came up with on the word Pot that made me at least laugh a lot through the day which I was grateful for, since there have been so many snafus daily. I have to keep my sanity somewhere. You can see it by clicking the link above and check out others as well. Would love you to follow me there as well if you are so inclined as I don’t post them on WP as a general rule of thumb. Visit when you can on my site The Unique Times with Cindy. ☺️💕💖

With Twitter the fun part is it is only 233 characters max, so you it forces you to be quick and succinct. It’s a fun way to get my mind to work in a different way and know it’s finite. You might want to consider joining in on occasion as well, Some people play everyday which is amazing to me.

Here’s the picture of the tight bathroom squeeze:

NO POT TO PEE IN.. TOILET COMING SOON!

We are nearing our final phase of this project with a move in date of July 15th our Anniversary and the finish work is the fun part. hmmmm 🤷‍♀️
Have a peek at the progress:

Emojiku with Suzette:

As most of you know Goff James has been on a break from posting and hasn’t been playing with our Emojiku’s at the moment, so I decided to post one that Suzette posted and play along called Room in View Haiku 2022

Suzette B does amazing work in poetry, prompts and stories with gorgeous and clever imagery so do visit her when you get a chance. Goff is the master of Haiku and the driving force behind the posting and I wanted to honor his presence today along with Suzette’s brilliance.

What is emojiku?

The emojiku came about by Cindy Georgakas and Goff playing emoji tennis in the WP comments box. It was a natural step to take it one stage further and develop from being just a fleeting form of discourse into something more poetically constructive.

An emojiku is a hybrid poetic form, and is similar in format to a haiku / senryū or haiga. However there are no strict restrictive set rules. The format is open and fluid.

In the case of an emojiku the source image is an emoji. The emojiku is made up of at least three different emoji. Each emoji being the inspiration for one line of the short poem.

The process of creating an emojiku begins by a blogger sending three different emoji to a fellow blogger.

The second blogger responds by writing their emojiku and forwarding it back to the original blogger; who, in turn responds by writing a counterpoint emojiku using the same emoji images.

Join in the Emojiku fun and share

Have a wonderful Friday and Weekend and remember to go with the flow, even when it’s panting and roaring through your breathwork. Take each moment and stay present remembering there are always opportunities to laugh amidst the craziness. I’m heading to the park today to teach a group Meditation and Qigong which makes my heart sing. Find extraordinary moments in the ordinary and have some fun amidst the chaos.

Blessings of Smiles and Love,

Keep your sense of humor, it’s critical! 😂 This reminds me of the movie “The Money Pit.”

WOW Cindy, I suggest you give some “pot” 🚬 to your workers and see if they can do something about that door. 🚪 I don’t know girlfriend. Can’t they do something about the hinges? That is really a TIGHT squeeze for sure. Other than that your renovation is looking really good. I know you wished you had the powers of Bewitched so you could have it all done already. LOL 🤣😝😂

Have a beautiful FUNyay Friday my dawwwwlinkkkk! Here’s lookin’ at you kid! 😎🌺😘🥰🌟🤩💖🥳

Cindy you are indeed blessed finding ways to look up into the light rather than down at circumstances. Your positive energy and outlook is inspiring. Hope that all goes well for the deadline of your anniversary.
Love your poems and the photo of the “potted plant”🤣
Thank you for the mention and joining in the “Room in View” with your delightful emojiku reply. Happiness in a few syllables…Well done, my friend.

OMG! A wall mount commode? That is just like a silly architect. Wall mount toilets are easy to clean under. There is no excuse for getting the size of the wet room wrong so the door won’t close. Seems like you need some pot from the pot. Looking good otherwise. Nice no pot to pee in poem.

It happens, Cindy, with such projects, but I appreciate your sense of humour. We have to take Murphy’s law in our own stride. Project, except toilet, seems to be progressing well. Liked your Twitter poems. Have a fun-filled weekend 🎉💐💗

Cindy and Suzette, a soothing poem in colors of water. Beautiful! <3

As for the door issue, do you have space for a pocket door? or convert that gorgeous door into a "barn door?" The finishes are lovely, and the built-in storage looks great. I love the leaded glass and the skylight! The door is a "bummer!" Hope you can fix it. <3 Have a great weekend!

haha I imagine it is quite frustrating. 😒 It’s always something with remodeling or life in general. It helps to laugh, but a toilet is a most important need!

Oh, Lordy, girlfriend! That will never do and you’ll never do the doo-doo, too!! Turn the door around for now (I know exactly what you mean; we had a kitchen cabinet that was useless the way the door was hung). How do these contractors put something up knowing it ain’t right and will never work and not fix it or, at the very least, say something?! It’s mind-boggling! Love your poem and that graphic is perfect. Pot in a pot (I did not inhale!) lol. Big hugs, Cindy G! Have a great weekend! 💕 🤗 🌿 🚽 🤣

Love your pot in the pot photo. Looks like your about wrapped up with your remodel. The bathroom door would probably take a whole new prehung door to swing out, which could be done. You just don’t see a bathroom door that opens out into a hall or room. He should have let you know about that for sure! Have a great week!
