Crown bows to the earth
fragrance disperses love
Hail to the queen bee
This is in honor of my friend Rhonda’s birthday yesterday! She is definitely one of the most loving and heartfelt people I know. I don’t think any of us have every heard her raise her voice and trust me she has had many a reasons to at times. She is a blessing to all of us and definitely a Queen Bee to me and all that know her. You might remember the song she wrote, You Are the Star I posted in honor of the Military Child. If you missed it have a listen here.
I had every intention of getting these flowers to her yesterday but they never made it out of the car…. oops. Maybe thus the wilt? I sent her this Haiku last night and she loved it and said she was heading out of town tomorrow so she would just have to enjoy the picture.
Whew…. lucky me as they are looking a little worse for ware and besides, I love the smell of lilies which always fill my senses with delight. Besides which, I am the one this is supposed to be in Mexico right now so I’ll just pretend I’m in the tropics today. Funny thing is everyone is gone around here and our kids are too. One of mine just flew out to Aspen, another is in Israel; both for work but judging by the pictures their work is a lot of play. One is in Mexico for her last hooray before she starts teaching again and one is always off somewhere.
I love our town in summer because everyone is out of town and I own the road and hills on my walk which always fill my senses. Besides, we were right to cancel as putting the kabits on issues that arise and keeping the crews on schedule is essential. No, we’re still not in yet but soon. I’ve had a lot of clients exposed to Covid so it’s been a lighter week which means getting more organized and that feels awesome!
I’m expecting a full crew today fingers and toes crossed but I’m not making any bets.
Hope your day buzzes with love and beauty and all of the things that make your heart sing!
