Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Crown bows to the earth
fragrance disperses love
Hail to the queen bee

This is in honor of my friend Rhonda’s birthday yesterday! She is definitely one of the most loving and heartfelt people I know. I don’t think any of us have every heard her raise her voice and trust me she has had many a reasons to at times. She is a blessing to all of us and definitely a Queen Bee to me and all that know her. You might remember the song she wrote, You Are the Star I posted in honor of the Military Child. If you missed it have a listen here.

I had every intention of getting these flowers to her yesterday but they never made it out of the car…. oops. Maybe thus the wilt? I sent her this Haiku last night and she loved it and said she was heading out of town tomorrow so she would just have to enjoy the picture.

Whew…. lucky me as they are looking a little worse for ware and besides, I love the smell of lilies which always fill my senses with delight. Besides which, I am the one this is supposed to be in Mexico right now so I’ll just pretend I’m in the tropics today. Funny thing is everyone is gone around here and our kids are too. One of mine just flew out to Aspen, another is in Israel; both for work but judging by the pictures their work is a lot of play. One is in Mexico for her last hooray before she starts teaching again and one is always off somewhere.

I love our town in summer because everyone is out of town and I own the road and hills on my walk which always fill my senses. Besides, we were right to cancel as putting the kabits on issues that arise and keeping the crews on schedule is essential. No, we’re still not in yet but soon. I’ve had a lot of clients exposed to Covid so it’s been a lighter week which means getting more organized and that feels awesome!

I’m expecting a full crew today fingers and toes crossed but I’m not making any bets.

Hope your day buzzes with love and beauty and all of the things that make your heart sing!

πŸ’–

Cindy

Hi Cindy – it sounds quiet in your town for sure
And forbid – September is the time we enjoy our local beach the most – prices drop and boardwalk is wide open and just the locals are around
It is not the “best” beach compared to other areas – but we glean what we can!
And cheers to a full crew
And one day – you will be moved in and enjoying it

Your flowers for a special friend are a nice gesture. They still have some life in them! πŸ’ Safe travels to your family and a pretend topical adventure for you and your husband. πŸ˜„ Think how relaxing your vacation will be after your home improvements are done! πŸ˜ŒπŸ–οΈπŸŒ…

Happy Birthday to Rhonda. Lovely flower arrangement. Did you know I used to compete in rose arranging? I was so happy when I won Queen of Show since my brother-in-law thought arranging flowers was less than manly.

Happy Hump Day Cindy! I love summer in my town for a similar reason. School is out and that takes a lot of traffic off the streets. Have a great evening πŸ˜„πŸŒΉ

Isn’t is wonderful to have a special friend like Rhonda?? Happy happy birthday to her and many more trips around the sun! My BFF is my neighbor Debby; we’ve been friends for 35+ years and we even look alike! People always mistake us for sisters, some even say we look like twins. There isn’t a thing we wouldn’t do for each other – sorta like you and Rhonda. Luv ya, Cindy G! Hope your day is as fantastic as you are!! πŸ’• 🌹🌟❀️

Hi Cindy, leaving flowers in the car in the heat is something I have also done. I now send Julie Lawson ecards to people. They are absolutely lovely and don’t wilt. August is holiday month in the Northern Hemisphere and all my International friends are also out and about. Our holiday period is December.
