Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

bride with her wedding dress blowing in the wind in the desert

The water sends ripples up my spine

as it cascades over the mountain side

blowing the winds of time,

where the sediment of layers are imbedded,

telling stories of historic times.

I absorb each message like a sponge,

and hear the whispers,

that impart wisdom from sages,

blowing the winds of time

as though they were standing by my side.

Truth never escapes us as we ride the winds of time

and climb the mountain treasures that erode one by one.

We are the same particles from which they came

blowing winds of time,

never the same, returning to ash

each one of us united,

where there is not time and space.

It’s been hot as bejesus here the last few days out of nowhere. Last night at 9 p.m. I went swimming in the pool and I wrote this piece. My husband said “let’s weed wack” and I said “no it’s gonna rain”. He said there was no way it would rain. Sure enough at 5 a.m. we had thunder and lots of rain and it’s raining on and off all day. YES! We are so in need of rain right now. The fires have been better in California this year finally! Soooo happy.

It’s all or nothing for all of us around the world. My heart goes out to those that are struggling with flooding!

Have a beautiful Wednesday!

💖

Cindy

Thanks, Cindy. I’ve always loved Blowing in the Wind. It certainly takes me back to my college years. And your poem reflected my experience of nature and its messages about eternity. –Curt

At first I thought you were writing a poem about my photo this week in WQW. It’s lovely and it really works.

Aren’t reflections wonderful? I’m working on a book of poems based on my WQW themes and other things along with a photo for each poem.

OMG Cindy, the music marvelously complements your amazing poem. Did your hubby not look at the weather forecast??? LOL ⛈🌦🌩

I love this part:
We are the same particles from which they came
blowing winds of time,
never the same, returning to ash
each one of us united,
where there is not time and space.

The layers of sediment in the rock and contemplating history is one thing I especially like about this poem, Cindy. <3 The genetic material that make us who we are is an inheritance from countless generations before us.

What a beautiful poem, Cindy! We are the same particles from which they came…this resonates well with me. Beautifully written! In a country like India, we witness drought in some areas, while flood in other.

Great poem! Amazing how you have intuition about the rain. This summer, it didn’t rain at all. It rained once for 5 minutes only. It’s October 2nd and temperatures are still summer hot.
