Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Happy Fun Fri-Yay Y’all!

I’m back with my new computer and loving it but with the wedding preparations and rehearsal dinner last night, I’m way behind in my reading and writing. However, I did want to circle back and share some of my haikus and captures from my trip to wrap up the adventure.

Picture framed perfect
Outside art for every room
No effort  needed

Over looking Old Faithful at Yellowstone

Memories imprint
Picture perfect moments found
Emerge yourself in light

The beauty of the sediment in the caldera

The geysers at Old Faithful were absolutely amazing. What surprises me more than anything is to learn that despite the warning signs posted: Do Not Enter, how many people die in these gorgeous but dangerous waters with scalding temperatures.

Recently, a floating foot was discovered at Abyss Pool in the West Thumb Geyser Basin along the the shore of Yellowstone Lake. And to think I was complaining about a lil ole finger.. lol.🤣

Gorgeous and luring but don’t be fooled

Listen to the signs
Temptation’s lethal warning
Don’t play with fire

There are dozens if not hundreds of hot springs, geysers, fumaroles (steam vents) and mudposts in this volcanic hydrothermal giant, each as interesting and beautiful as the next and many are labeled. I was struck by the clever names they came up with.

A thought that kept crossing my mind when I saw The Depression Geyser was just how beautiful it looked and yet underneath the surface, it was burning and bubbling with undercurrents not know to the naked eye. I was struck by how insidious it is, much the same way that depression can present itself internally with so many experiencing this deep sinking feeling.

The steam
The build up
Blood boiling
like the fulcrum
underground pinnings
of the earths workings
and our inner core churning.
minerals rich with sulfate
like our muladhara root chakra
ready to erupt,
touching the earth
for the first time in all its glory.
The power of nature emoting and settling,
restoring balance of the sky,
petrifying the sticks and anything in its path.
Creating a new reality day by day
As we listen to the gifts of nature.

And on the the wedding at the Grand Tetons which was spectacular!

It was a spectacular wedding with an incredible backdrop, food, music and fun.

We have a big day ahead and after last nights rehearsal dinner and dancing, everyone is moving slow but up and working on all different time zones.

The big party tonight at our house with 200 of our closest friends.. hahahaha.😜 We know about 50 and I kid you not! Here are a few pics from yesterday and last night at the rehearsal at the venue and dinner. “Blhat” (her blog name), wore my hat to the rehearsal I wore at my wedding day…. something borrowed.

I won’t be checking in here so bare with me until next week when I can regroup and catch up with all of you.

It’s an incredible time and I’m always in my happiest place when we can all be together with 3 generations. The fun has just begun!

Sweetness of my Dad’s wishes in poetry

The fun has just begun for me and I hope for you too.

This is our first wedding after 4 kids. We had the runaway bride 4 years ago 2 months before the arranged marriage. Every-time we get together for the past 10 years we have said here’s to the “final final” with just the 6 of us. I think it’s safe to say, this is the FINAL FINAL as the six of us.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings of Love,

💗

Cindy

Hi Cindy, this is such a wonderful post. You certainly had a smashing time. It is strange to me that people would venture into such hot water when there are signs warning them. People do crazy things. The grandfather’s poem was wonderful.

A floating foot, whaaa. Did the place smell like sulphur? I’ve come to associate volcano-like places to the strong smell of eggs.

And that wedding looks super. Everybody looks amazing, plus it looks like a wonderful event to have been. Beautiful pics, and you as well!
