Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Hi Dear Friends,

I’m back…. well sort of, after all of our huge events of the year with a little reprieve before we begin again. That’s right part 2 of the 3 part remodel starts next week but should be a lot easier than the first one.

I’ve been bumping into walls, exhausted and trying to clean up and regroup and little by little I’m digging out. I don’t know about you but after a huge push is when I notice that anxiety can kick in and I just have to ride the wave and watch it ebb and flow. The body and mind are trying to catch up saying “I can finally register what was going on that you weren’t listening to”.

The end result was incredible and I’m beyond delighted but it will take me a bit till I’m back to full throttle.

I haven’t done a video for awhile with any workouts with my Move It Monday classes and this is just a talk and a bit of Tai Qui because well, this is where you start when you have been out of sync for awhile.

I’ve been trying to get on the internet all morning but couldn’t starting at 2 a.m. and I thought there was a snafu in the new bedroom but it turns out as I was headed to P.T. at 7:00 a.m. a tree was down. Saved by the tree I thought. It reminded me of “the dog ate my homework” and I have no idea if they will really believe me. There was no storm but I did notice that the wire was awfully close on the tree the other day and just ignored that message. Oops, I may not be able to reply till the WiFi comes back, hoping this goes through!

I let all of my clients know I wasn’t going to see them today because of the tree but they are all bound and determined to get here and help cut branches. Even my 91 year old is coming. That’s one way to get a work out in.

In short, when you have gone through a big push, remember to Begin Again and here is the recipe:

  • Give yourself the time you need to decompress and take a break
  • Get back to your practice whether that be meditation, movement, music, etc
  • Set realistic Goals for yourself
  • Acknowledge the small steps you make and fan your accomplishments

When life gives you the unexpected,
go with it !
It’s a message for you to regroup and take it slow.
Don’t fight what can’t be changed and go with the flow.
Take life as it comes each and every day
Be blessed for the gifts that come your way.

Alrighty, that was short and sweet… the video is a little long but I gotta run. Funny, I made it Saturday and who knew the tree would give me another chance to begin again. It does say have a great weekend…. but what I meant was, have a great week ahead.

Make it a great day!

πŸ’—

Cindy

Oh my gosh, Cindy. You have such dedication to your blog. You have had so much happen I think everyone would forgive you for missing a few days. You are amazing. Good luck with the tree and getting your home back in order. I’ll be watching for future post, but seriously, don’t strain yourself.

Downed trees are such a pain. That so nice that your patients want to come and help. Whacking on tree branches is good therapy. Laurie had a student she tutored who had ADHD. When he got all his work done, he got to take one of my machetes and whack on elm trees. It was a great incentive and he got a lot of energy out whacking on those trees. Good luck with the cleanup.

Great video Cindy, I get thrown out of routine whenever I’ve been away. I manage to keep some of my routine intact but as a creature of habit, I really do prefer to be on track and it feels great to be home and in balance again now. Looking forward to the pictures from Africa, I’ve always wanted to go as was in love with Wilbur smith books at an early age.

Hi Cindy, best of luck with getting up a running again, you are certainly having a busy time … thank you for the handy advice on how to “Begin Again” … I’ve had a let down after ‘Tullawalla’ was released … and now I need to recharge my enthusiasm … my new book ‘Perceptions’ will out in late November … and my Tullawalla book launch on Sat 22nd October, and then on Sat 19th I’ve been accepted to run a stall at a local ‘Arts & Craft’ market to sell my ‘Books’ , which will be a first-time event for me … I was down in the dumps this time last year, when Tullawalla went out of publication, and I thought my writings were coming to an end … but I have been able to “Begin Again” … and now I have started on a manuscript for my “Third’ book, which I hope to finish in early 2023 …

As they say, sometimes you have to take one step back so you can continue blazing forwards. It’s great that you’re slowly getting back into the groove. I can definitely relate to pushing yourself and ending up running on fumes. Not super pleasant. But it’s a great catalyst for growth once you come back into it. Wishing you all the best!
