Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Grace
By the grace of god go I,
Grace

In all of our blessings,
Grace

In dis grace,
Grace

Say a prayer
For yourself,
You friends,
Your family,
Our world!

Grace
Be where you are,
Grace

When things go right
Grace

When things go wrong
Grace

Happy
Sad
Accepted
Rejected
Loved
Lonely

Grace
Love your neighbor as yourself,
Grace

Forgive those whoโ€™ve hurt us
Grace

They are our best teachers
Thank them
For the lessons
The love
The pain
The joy
Your broken heart

Grace
Friend or Foe,
Grace

Both make us grow
Wiser
Smarter
Stronger
Compassionate
Loving

Grace

Say your prayers
Count your blessings
I count you twice
Beyond grateful
For the good, the bad,
The ugly
Grace

A compassionate prayer as it ends with โ€ฆ

For the good, the bad,
The ugly
Grace

We all deserve grace. Some suffer so deeply that they fail to allow it in. If onlyโ€ฆ..

My aunt said her mom, my paternal grandmother used to say these first lines all the time. And unfortunately, while she promoted those lines she didnโ€™t apply them to me (a niece who used to put her onna pedestal as my favorite aunt), and blocked me on Facebook. Thankfully, I know she has to take care of herself and it taught me another life (soul) lesson! Ha!

โ€œBy the grace of god go I,โ€ applies to everyone, not simply who we like or who abstains from saying things we donโ€™t!

That’s an interesting positive spin on the idiom. Everyone is blessed. Happy Thanksgiving. A prayer for you too. Thanks. I like how you’ve removed the but and let everyone have grace.
There BUT for the grace of God go I.” But, but, but, I don’t want to be THERE, and well I don’t want to be here either. Let us go to the in-between where butts can rest and dream of traveling to neither here nor there. It’s in the imagination of the TV prologue to lands unknown, in the Twilight Zone of Rod Serling: “You’re traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the signpost up ahead – your next stop, the Twilight Zone!” (1959)
It’s an interesting idiom. I think I saw a Mother in her car with her child explaining it. The child said, “Are we there yet?”

Yuck. I decided to put Nutter Butter on Hospice. For me that means, since he’s not getting better, I’m just gong to let him have some good food and give him some immodium with his other medications. I fed him some unseasoned chicken tonight cut into tiny bits. He ate like he was starving, which he indeed looks like he is. He’s down to about 7.8 pounds. Good luck with your D problem. Much worse to have it in the living room. At least he does it in the laundry room!

So far Hospice is working well. He eats chicken like a starving kitten. With the steroids and his other medications, he handled it well. Fingers crossed. ๐Ÿ™‚ He might as well be happy. I gave him a taste of whipping cream, too. He thought he’d died already and gone to a better home.

Cindy, well done, my friend. Grace is such a simple and powerful word. Your first stanza reminds me of what Gandhi once said. Paraphrasing, he said a community’s greatness is determined by how they take care of the less fortunate. That is grace in my view. Keith

Grace in all things, good, bad, and ugly. Easier said than done, but required and so needed. We need Grace in a world that has little of it. Grace is like a flicker of light that chases away the darkness. Beautifully written, Cindy! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
