Happy Fri-Yay Funday Y’all!
No this isn’t a new poetry form. We all leave that to our friend David Alexander over at Skeptic’s Kaddish who blows the socks off poetry, as he is literally making his own form from A-Z right now. The man has a mind of a steel trap and I’d say too much time on his hands, but we all know that’s not true with his career, family life, faith and blogosphere growth. He’s fast approaching 6,000 followers and I was ahead of him at one time. WOW. Congrats David. So, if you want to have some real fun, go visit him.
In the meantime, I’m cracking the whip and on schedule to have bedrooms, a laundry room and a shared Jack and Jill Bathroom ready for when “the kids” come home on the 23rd. First we complained of no heat, and now we’ve been frying for 4 days with the heat turned up to 90 degrees, to get the sheet rock to dry but no complaints about that.
These guys have rocked it on the instal. Sheet rock is being sanded, painting starts today and Saturday, floor tiling Monday, electrical by Thursday when the washer/dryer and fridge arrive… ok, you get the picture. We’re building bed frames as we speak, I ordered Redi Shades Blackout. Not pretty but for 10 bucks each, they’ll do the job for now. Apparently, they’re window treatments that you cut to size and stick in the window frame. Wild. We shall see.In the meantime, I’m cracking the whip which seems to be working so far around here and I haven’t gotten any letters from my attorney yet or police visits… YES, I’m kidding.
A fun fact and question: Who believes we used to sleep with a pig in the bottom of our bed under our sheets? If you guessed yes, you’re right. Her name was Jewels and she was a gift for xmas for our daughter.

And this is a wrap on the project until the final hoorah… which will be the xmas I’ve been dreaming of, I hope. I’ll share the completion with you when everyone’s gets here and try to capture their reaction. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏻
I just had to share this video from Saturday Night Live which you may have already seen but I laughed out loud when I saw it. If you are really sick right now or have been, you may want to skip it as you might not find it funny but it’s a true scenario I’m seeing. a lot right now.
Have a great Friday and weekending and remember to find everyday moments that make you laugh or at least sigh and take your breath away.
