Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Good Monday Morning or Evening to you and happy Intention setting for the year. I thought why should I show my face at all when Ollie is the true leader here.

Let’s Get Started:

  • Write down everything you want to release and let go of
  • Burn baby burn: Yep burn it up and let it go!
  • Write your intentions or letter of intention
  • Seal it and address it with your name
  • Be grateful for everything
  • Open it; Same time next year

Dream It

Believe It

Achieve It!

Cindy
A Ritual for the New Year 2023

Have a rock solid week! Happy Lunar Chinese New Year, The Year of The Rabbit!

I started mine this year and I have my red envelope with a 2 dollar bill enclosed, ready for good things.

And so it is!

Hugs and love,

ā¤ļø

Cindy

I love Leo Buscaglia quotes. It can’t hurt to give this a try, Cindy. Thanks for the idea. I wonder if it works better with a pretty cat supervising. šŸ™‚ I have a $2 bill around here somewhere too. Does the video mention the $2 bill?

This is such a wonderful way to welcome in the New Year, Cindy. I read your post yesterday, but it said the video was unavailable. I thought I’d come back and try again, and hey, presto, it worked today! It was delightful – I love your altar with all the winter leaves and flowers, and I will definitely try this. I’ve burned words on paper before, but not as beautifully done as this (and also a couple of old and negative diaries I didn’t want in my life anymore). I loved your poem on Spillwords, too. The idea of writing my intentions for the coming year appeals to me, and I keep a gratitude diary, which I write in every day. And as for Ollie, he is just charming. He’s just like my cat, Peanut, in the way she rules the roost (or thinks she does, anyway!)

Thank you for sharing this. I so enjoyed it all. Love and peace to you. Xx šŸŒ¼šŸ’“šŸŒ»

Loved this post – Great photos of Ollie!! Great advice, My Dear! Still unsure about your #1
Only because we are all made up of the sum of what we have experienced – good bad and ugly too. Partitioning some things off is a great idea but eliminating I’m not so sure of – yet.
Wouldn’t that be like having our life be an ongoing jigsaw puzzle and going back and toss bunches of pieces away? Just asking? Ha! Bellissimo, Cindy, Bellissimo!

Been doing a lot of happiness thinking so far this year, Cindy, basically by asking what makes me excited to get up and start my day. They are mainly creative endeavors and travel. And Peggy, of course. Give my regards to Ollie. šŸ™‚ –Curt

Love that you have the red packets! Makes me feel like I’m reading a fellow Asian’s blog, because that’s exactly what I’m seeing this CNY season. And the rabbit is so seasonal too (over here we just tend to use generic red packets companies give out for free). And the burning tip is great. It’s a symbolic thing to do. I write down my anger and throw it away sometimes. Feels good.

I actually have no idea what’s up with the two-dollar thing. We used to give out two-ringgit bills when we still used to have them in Malaysia. No biggie. As long as it’s not anything to do with number 4 or 14, you’re fine by Chinese standards.

Beautiful way to start off the new year! My daughter and I wrote things we wanted to release on glass plates and smashed them at midnight and then made an alter bringing in all the goodness we hope to attract in the new year. These ceremonies are important and I enjoyed seeing yours! Thank you šŸ™‚
