Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

assorted color great board decor lot

Good Morning or Afternoon,

I loved some of your guesses on my book title. I got at least 2 people that thought the title would be “Broken” but honestly, even though I’m quite candid with you all about how my life is going, you gotta know, I always put Humpty Dumpty back together again and the YAYYYY in the day, do I not?! We are torn up around here again with the 3rd and final phase of the remodel but it will be sparkling like new in about 3 months, fingers crossed.

OK ready; It was actually a trick question since the name of my book was in the title of my last post. hahaha!😂

RE-CREATE & CELEBRATE

7 Steps to Create the life You were Born to have

A teaching memoir and workbook to get you from point A to point B

This book is a culmination of everything I have been doing in my life work for the last umpteen years and I’m truly excited to share it with you. I know you thought it might be on fitness and health and a lot of you have expected a poetry collection. There is a haiku at the end of each chapter to cement my teachings and keep them imprinted in your mind, so don’t worry but the book had a mind of it’s own. Just like my children, imagine that. haha!

Our lives are truly about staying in the moment as we come up to obstacles, deal with them head and readjust to create the lives we envisioned, celebrating every step of the way.

A little secret is I expected poems at the end as well but as I continued writing, the book pretty much wrote itself and poems at the end of each chapter seemed to be a distraction from the message, said my editor. I kept trying to figure out how to keep them in, but my editor Ingrid Wilson from Experiments in Fiction, encouraged me to trust her insights on this. Working with her has been a gift and her expertise has been a Godsend. But don’t worry, I’m going to launch my poetry book in December right in time for the holidays.

If you would rather hear me explain how I came up with the title, have a listen here:

The book title came to me like a lightening bolt when Ingrid and I were working one day. When I hung up the phone it just came to me. I started out as a Recreational Therapist in my life work and continued expanding into life coaching, personal training, yoga, massage, you name it, which is all about creating and I love to do a lot of my work recreating outside. Lots of my sessions are done in the great outdoors. My book is a culmination of everything I have learned through the years and breaking them down to share with you to create your life, just the way you envision it. I’m soooo excited to share it with you.

We are ironing out the cover as we speak (another serendipitous moment) and hoping for a June release but details will follow as we get closer.

What is life worth if we don’t share our gifts to the world and those we love?❣️

Cindy

Thanks so much for being here. Tune in for a Cinsage Yoga Work-out on Fri-Yayyy.

Blessings of Love,

💗

Cindy

I’m envious that your book wrote itself. It’s such a blessing to be able to produce a book with that energy. Sounds like a great title indeed, something I might be interested in. So I’ll be sure to check it out when it comes out for sure! And welcome back, Cindy!

Hi Cindy – it sounds like you found the PERFECT title and book content – you are so correct that a book can write itself and as you move through the process – the ideas flow and the content does too – I am so excited and it sounds really good – the only thing is I am not sure abut the tagline of going from A to B. Because it seems limiting – and I know I sure never just go from a to b – it is always a to b and then c and all around to z and back again
hmmmm – I dunno – just thinking out loud on that

🙂 well you are truly on to a very important project — and later on I would love to chat with you more about poetry books – and how so many folks shy away from reading them – even if they have great content – and so I was not surprised to hear that your “great work” wasn’t a poetry book – the holiday one sounds like a good idea – but their is such a narrow audience for poems and I think the book you decided to put together will have a larger scope….

yes- it is all about pacing
and have you heard the saying – if you want something done – gift it to a busy person?
sometimes a busy mode means productve and smooth
but other times too busy leads to – um – dare I say it? burnout or burn in – lol

and with your chapter – take your time – because we have flexibility with deadlines on it

one more thought on the a to b (and just thinking out loud here again – smile)
another part of life is the unexpected and many changes and side trails – and so often we go from a to d – and then back to b – and maybe get stuck on G – so the tagline should fit this unexpected normal part of life that is never a to b (even though I think I understand what the a to b was supposed to mean)

that is kind of fun – and I think you will find the perfect tagline – it just takes a little moving things around

PS – I liked the video you made (always nice to hear your voice and see your purdy face!- and love that cool sports jacket….) but did want to ask about book titles – I did not know that they could be patented – because a book project I worked in 2010-to 2013 ish – was called Sunshine and Shadows and when we looked it up – there were other books with the title and we were told that it could not be patented – hmmmm

well I think the way to come up with a title that nobody has used – is to make it really random – like a book I read over the holidays (last year) was “everyone is naked without their clothes on” – and it was written by a therapist who was just trying to share some encouragement from her practice – the book was okay – a super fast read – with a bit of humor – anyhow – the title stood out and was so easy to remember – and it also whispered to what she was getting at with her book – human vulnerability and our exterior persona the world sees (the clothes) and then the private self and things we work through and grow with (naked) and how all humans have commonalities – etc

and so your starting title seems to really sync with the content you described (from what I could tell) and so I would check online to see if that title is already used and also maybe you will get ideas by looking at more titles – you might have already done that –

but a few years ago (2021) I started a cognitive psychology book and it really helped me a lot to look at other cog psych books and see the titles and the ways others approached the topic
