Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Who needs drapes?

Raindrops tap my window,

Soothing my soul.

Nerves settle, heart slows.

Squirrels gather acorns,

birds fly freely.

My perfect picture window.

Who needs drapes?

Wait, is that you running from my garden?

Did you just steal an orange?

Don’t make my blood boil!

I know how much havoc just one squirrel can make!

Where are those drapes?

But you, my friend, are worth of the price of admission.

Now carry-on and have a great day.

Who needs drapes?

CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE,

CHANGE YOUR LIFE❣️

Happy Fri-Yay Funday My Friends!

Last Fridays post was Loooooong I know, so I’ll keep it brief and not bore you with too may details.

Book Update

I’m delighted to say Ingrid (from EIF) and I are getting close to wrapping up my book after a nose to the grindstone week. My body is tired but my soul is satisfied. I’ve been pain free on my hikes and days this week. I couldn’t be happier. Yahoo! I upped my joint modality supplements and I’m not sure that has anything to do with it but time will tell. I also started a collagen drink which some friends swear by but I’m not endorsing it yet. The proof is in the pudding, so stay tuned. If I think it’s worth it, and the pain leaves and I look 10 years younger, I’ll let you know. Or you let me know but if you say I look better in a week, I will tell you that you must need glasses, as it takes about 2 months to see anything.

Phase 3 of Construction:

We have the plumbing done and they poured the concrete back and now we wait for cure time. YES! 👏
Insulation and sheet rocking are up next, so we’re getting close.

SHARK TANK UPDATE IF YOU MISSED IT:

For any of you that watched Shark Tank Last Friday Night Honey Bunches didn’t get a contract but Kendra did an amazing job pitching it. At the end of the day, she got a ginormous amount of sales and the best deal, because she’s probably going to make what she asked for in funding without giving up 10% of her family’s company! Look for them in 7 11’s, Amazon etc., or order online here (No, I don’t make any profit on these). They are gluten free. I can’t vouch for them yet and don’t have the ratio of sugars, fats, calories but they’re in my cart. You. know me, just like me TBR books that I buy to support you guys that are still on my shelf. I’m hoping after my launch, I’ll have some time for fun summer reading.

Here are the ingredients:

Ingredients

Honey (42% by weight), Unsweetened Coconut Cream, Sunflower Kernals (Sunflower Oil, Salt), Almonds, Tapioca Syrup, Coconut, Vanilla. Contains Almonds, Coconut

If you are a gardener and get tired of the squirrels and pesky critters you may enjoy this well done video that feels your pain:

And that my friends is a wrap!

Happy Weekending, until we meet again on Monday!

💞

Cindy

Oh my sweet Energizer Mama, I appreciate you and as we support each other, we embrace our craziness because that’s what makes the process so much fun to deal with! So on this beautiful day, enjoy whatever it is that you might do today, even if what you’re doing is nothing. You don’t need drapes to do that! LOL Hugs and smooches dawwwlinkkkk! 🤩✨🌞💖😎

Without the drapes, the window looks like a framed painting. Squirrels are cute and fun to watch. They’re always up to something. This morning, I saw one running as fast as he could from either another squirrel or a chipmunk chasing him. A long time ago, I saw another squirrel being chased by two birds. From my perspective, the squirrel looked sheepish. Happy Friday and have a great weekend 🙂

I am also planning to do something creative this summer to get ‘my picture perfect window ‘. I like observing tiny squirrels running around the trees or chasing each other. I hope this summer we are not tortured by heatwaves too much. But its already beginning to get too hot. I can’t wait to see more pictures of your renovated home. Have a nice day, Cindy.

That squirrel has his eye on you! :>) I have had my issues with squirrels. The got so bad one was chewing on the plastic on the outside of my vinyl window. That was IT. I got a trap and relocated quite a few to a more desirable locatation about two miles away. The I quit putting so much food in the open feeder. Seems ot have worked. I now only have one that come!
Glad to see your project is doing well.

Love your poem.

Now I’m thinking of my drapes as stage curtains….when the light comes up, the show begins. Mine is typically of the birds frequenting my feeders and the cheeky, sassy squirrel climbing my screen to empty the feeders as well.
