Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Happy Wise Wednesday or or share your heart day❣️

Have a listen here and spare your eyes or read on below.

You may remember 2 weeks ago Ingrid and I had our launch party for my book RE-CREATE & CELEBRATE: 7 Steps to Turn Your Dreams Into Reality. What I didn’t tell you is right after we celebrated with my 2 pregnant girls at the Wine Adventure in Lake County, CA where we have our lake cottage. It has been a tradition for the last several years and how could we refuse having designated drivers-:)❣️

One of our stops was Lajour Winery that our friend Cheryl and Dave own, where we are members. We got Hunter our Husky/Sheppard pup dog from them 11 years ago. He’s one of 11 puppies and the best of the litter if you ask us. To know him is to love him as you all know. Aside from seeing them and tasting their great wines and food parings, I meant a woman that I heard was an author as well.

We had a wonderful connection. It turns out I recognized her name and said “we’re friends on Word Press”. She also was on T.V. for her book but it turns out she had taken her book off the market and closed her WP account because she moved into despair. She lost her kids to a cult, and was devastated. She had given up all hope and had been in despair for quite sometime. She said “I want to buy your book” and she did just that and I got amazing texts telling me that she had new hope and was re-inspired to continue on her mission. The best affirmation was seeing the text that she shared with a picture of her book with all of her notes in it, using it as I intended.

I am getting her in touch with my friends that have also known the struggles of losing their daughter to a cult and they will be in touch.

My point in sharing this with you is to share your gifts with others, things you are passionate about and know that has something to offer. You never know where or what will come of it but if you don’t share it, one thing is sure and that is you won’t make a difference anywhere. Some people think of this as bragging or selling and for some it may be just that but for others of us, we have something we want to share with the world that we think could make a difference. Think how selfish it would be it we didn’t share the gifts that we have inside of us that just might touch one person. Some of us are too afraid to share what is important to us for the fear that we will sound like we are know it alls or we are bragging. Terry Cole-Whittaker, minister of United Church of Religious Science and author of the book What You Think of Me is None of My Business in 1979’s words still ring true for me. I’m reminded that I never mean to hurt anyone ever but not everyone is going to like what we have to say.

Wisdom ‘s words echo,
when hearts resonate.
Sharing truth, bearing souls,
and taking down the façade.

Listening closely to
what’s emerging,
moment to moment,
between the lines.

Silence speaks,
when words pale.
Quill in hand,
heart in throat.

We take what comes,
throw the rest to the wind,
act on hunches.
Give voice to truth,
Let the magic begin.

Thank you to all of you who have written reviews on my book tour and to those of you who have written reviews on Amazon as well! Yes, I got your Devang, thank you! Also, thanks for the newest ones, Selma from Japan, Marsha Ingrao & Vicky Lawson. I can’t tell you how much they help the book. I’m finally getting my author copies and will start meeting with book stores soon.

Here’s our launch party if you missed it and want to have a peek.

Have a wonderful Wednesday sharing your heart and message today. Trust it!

See you Friday for a tour of our near completion of our remodel, YES! Finally. Today we are painting the redwood in our living room. Sac-religious I know which is why I’ve kept them for 25 years but it’s time for change! I’m a bit nervous but fingers and toes crossed! I’ve thought long and hard and am making the plunge. Most painters walked in and wouldn’t do it but this painter said “YES, let’s do this”!

Blessings of Wisom as you share your heart,

❤️

Cindy

Should be “losing their daughter to a cult…”
But yes, this is sooo fantastic, Cindy, when we can uplift someone like this!!! Love her story and I would love to chat with her too!

Sure! I have been hoping folks would point out any of my typos too but I really think most of us read fast! I also thought I could say it better, like “Happy Tip” or something.

Two of my best friends in Sacramento lost their daughter (who was also a friend of mine and remained so) to the Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh cult in Oregon, Cindy. I remember what a struggle they had trying to understand.

Great to see you in the video, Cindy and the blue of the shirt you are wearing is the blue I saw when I met my sister, Christina (of That Little Blue Dot (blog post), and of Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection (book on Amazon). I love it!!!
I also want to tell you (and for your book author friend), children do come out of Scientology, as Leah Remini did. And I love Leah’s show by the way.

You may be thinking of the purple and blue book cover (for my holistic health book), but this time I am referring to the metaphysical book, Blue Eyes: Ethereal Messages of Connection. Thank you, Cindy!

I love the title, “What you think of me is none of my business!” It’s a great line to use if someone insults you to your face or a “friend” tells you what they said. LOL I think our confident body language says that to people anyway. I get much fewer comments about what I should do, be or say now than I did when I was younger. There are some definite advantages to age as well! I’m sorry about your redwood walls on both accounts. It’s hard to get rid of them and it’s hard to keep them. A friend of mine has some beautiful dark wood walls from the 1890s. I don’t know what she is going to do, but she’s finally ready for some changes. At over 80 years old she wants to make her ancestral home her own.

This is so uplifting, Cindy, and something positive seems to follow tragedy or distress in our lives. I’m so happy with your wonderful book reviews. I finished two books that I began a while ago, and I’m currently reading the next in line, then I will dive into yours. It waits patiently on my bookcase, and I love the cover! Anyway, once my book is released, I’ll have more time for reading. Congrats on the successful launch! Hugs! 💖

I can only imagine, Cindy, how difficult it would be…and I know I’ll enjoy your book! 🙂 Oh, I hope you enjoy mine, too, if that’s what you mean. I’m so tired right now, but I’m trying to read some blogs. Between my book and the SW Q & A, I fell behind again. Sigh…anyway, have a great evening! 💖

Love the poem. How profound your insight …when silence speaks; when words fail…”
All the best in the paint project. Change is good, as good as rest too!

I can’t imagine what it must be like to lose your daughter like that. From what I have learnt about cults, the people in them completely change. It’s like they’re not even the same person anymore.

That’s so sad. My aunt is in one and I kind of get why they recruited her, she’s always been someone that is easy to sway 😕

So enjoyed this today Cindy. Your story of meeting this author at a winery was truly a moment of “maktoob” it was written for you both. Your poem is so good and so perfect for this moment.. I really loved all you said but the last verse is just perfect and for me very inspiring.
“We take what comes,
throw the rest to the wind,
act on hunches.
Give voice to truth,
Let the magic begin.”
Oh yes..this is the way and I call it Life’s little secret you have to discover.. You Have discovered it and are now sharing it with the world.. MashAllah..I hope your message falls on all the ears that need to hear it:) You are an inspiration!

WOW Cindy, what a heartbreaking yet hopeful story. Your positive take is a breath of fresh air and I enjoyed your video girlfriend. I detest brainwashing of any kind. People know who to prey on (the most vulnerable and needy) and how to nab them in their web of deceit. Once they are in, it seems impossible for them to get out. This is so tragic, but thank you for sharing her story. 🤗🙏🏼😊

Oh my dear Cindy, as sad as this situation is, thank you for courageously bringing this story to the forefront. Sadly, this isn’t an isolated situation, but I hope more parents will have a conversation, among other things with their children sooner than later, because later may be too late. Thanks for your compassion. Hugs and smooches dawwwlinkkkk!!! 🥰💖😘💋😊

It’s so heartwarming to hear about the positive impact of your book, Cindy. ♥

I agree wholeheartedly with your belief that we shouldn’t hesitate to share what is important to us. A lovely poem you shared.
Also, best of luck with the painting of your redwood in the living room.

I would rather not win

I don’t want to burden you to send me a book overseas. As I have business in logistics, I am aware of the price it would take to send 1 kg from usa to India or the opposite.

And yes, there are many American comments but definitely 1 Indian comment.

Will always support you. Eagerly waiting for part 2.

And sorry I cannot write on the book. I know you said it in the book. But I feel it’s too precious to spoil. 😍

Hi Cindy, it sounds like you had a really wonderful time with your two pregnant daughters. It is amazing that they are pregnant at the same time. My oldest nephew is 15 and my sons are 20 and 17 so I was all alone with my sons when they were born. My sisters were so disinterested in babies, they never even visited me in the hospital. LOL.
