Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

The buzz,
the wonder,
the question of
the query.

If time is an illusion,
don’t we all live forever
in the path we walk,
the sky we gaze at?

Is Fri-Yay really Sat-Yay
or is my mind frozen
in space and time?
When does tomorrow start?

If it weren’t for the clock,
we may never know.
Time stands still amongst us,
or never ends for others.

And what if I just ignore the clock,
put the tick tock on pause,
as the world turns around me.
I think this is called vacation.

Does vacating your space,
open windows in time,
accessing mental clarity
of peace and tranquility?

Apparently my body is home going through the motion but my mind is still on vacation. One of the things I LOVE about my job is it keeps me present and I’m able to let go of anything going on with me and focus on my clients. Well, let’s just say that has been the case until yesterday.

Yesterday, I found my mind drifting off as my calendar was booked solid. I was off to the races in my mind with a client and brought myself back in record time which I was grateful for. Later, I was stretching with a client/friend and everything was back to normal and it was a wonderful session. I also got on the foam roller and stretched with her as well because my back and hips were sore most likely from all of the working out I did on vacation, ugh. Everything was wonderful until it wasn’t.

I said “ok now I’ll stretch you” and she moved her body back and the foam roller hit the aerobic stepper behind her and fell smack dab on her face and blood burst EVERYWHERE. It was like a crime scene and I didn’t know if she lost an eye ball (I kid you not), since it appeared to be coming from her eye. Talk about coming back to the present moment in a nano second!

All she could say was “clean the floor first” and I was like “NO, we need to tend to you“. When I finally cleaned her up, held a rag with ice on her nose and eye for compression for a good while, we were both relieved it was just her nose and the blood finally stopped. Whew! She is left with the tread of the stepper on her forehead but she was a trouper and we continued her session. Isn’t it amazing how little we think about ourselves in times of an emergency? Here she was worrying about the floor while she’s gushing blood. I think this is in part shock.

Her big joke is don’t mess with Cindy in a session cuz she’s tough”. OMG! Not quite the reputation I want especially in a relaxing session. A work out session? Sure, maybe. My cortisol levels peaked to the max. In all my years of working I have NEVER had anything like this happen, thank goodness. I have know others that have dropped a weight on people’s head. That would be the death of me and could be a client. I just stopped and called her and she said her nose is bruised but doing well, thank goodness!

I guess where I’m going with this is that I probably needed to give myself a little time to decompress before coming back to a full client load. I don’t know about you but the less I do, the less I want to do and and don’t register that my body needs rest and when I finally relax, I realize just how much I could get used to more of that. Can you relate to any of this?

On some really fun notes, I was wandered into a boutique yesterday after my chiropractor appointment and noticed she carries books. I shared that I’m the author of a new book Re-Create & Celebrate 7 Steps To Turn Your Dreams Into Reality and she was thrilled and asked for my ISBN number to order. I’m really excited and I’m heading back today to bring her my author copy and a my media kit. Yayyy!

Here are some fun pictures I got from friends, a client/friend and my son when they received their books. It’s so appreciated and heartwarming and such an honor that my kids all think enough of me to buy my book and send me a selfie. 😘🙏🏼. I’m waiting on the other 3. 😉. I would love your picture of you holding my book if you can DM or email me as well. I want to do a collage of everyone if you are up for it.

Thanks you guys!!!! I LOVE these and all of you!

I’m so grateful for this wonderful review below from Lori Hodgson author of A Mother’s Heartbreak: How Scientology Destroyed My Family Her review is under a different name. Thank you so very much for this heartfelt review. I’m in awe of your courage and strength and you give me the inspiration to face every obstacle there is in life by your steadfast love and care of your children in-spite of them still MIA. Please note: Lori’s book is available on kindle version on Amazon for 9.99. The absurd cost of 49.00 is shown by others who have bought her book from the organization and are trying to block readers. It’s all I can gather. I have begun this book and she is an extraordinary writer. Please send good energy as she embarks on her mission of reconnecting with her children.

I found this book so helpful to getting my love for myself back!! I was fortunate to have met Cindy, the author at a fun event. We crossed paths and shared our books. I instantly connected with Cindy and got my strength back to continue my own journey to reconnect with my kids.
Her book gave me the tools I needed to forgive myself and to truly love myself again. Life can be hard so when there is a miracle that shows up…take it.
Thank you Cindy for sharing your insights and wisdom. Just love your book and our connection!!

Also, a special thanks to Sheila from Spiral Sister Murrey for sharing my launch on her blog. Check out her book Blue Eyes that sheds light on spiritual awakening. Sheila Reiki energy healer with magical gifts to share.

Blessings of love to all of you for a wonderful weekending,

💗

Wow, what a shock to both you and your client! Glad everything is OK! Well-written poem to describe your post-vacation state of mind. As my mother used to say, “It will all come out in the wash!” I am still on break, but am reading a handful of emails a day. Take care! <3 <3 <3

Cindy, your post starts with a beautiful reflective poem about the nature of time and I was drifting into myself thinking about this when yikes, your described the accident. I had to reread this and no wonder your cortisol levels were through the roof. Your description of it all had me hooked and I am so glad your client was okay. She sounds like a great lady and bless her for concerns about your floor. Awww … I love the photos of everyone with your book and what a terrific idea about the collage. Finally, a wonderful review and congratulations. Wishing you a relaxing and tranquil weekend. Take care. xx

Wow, Cindy, a boring life you do not have! The ‘tough’ description made me smile, and your ocean photo is gorgeous! Glad you were able to get away. I’m so happy for you and your book success and love the idea of collecting photos of those who buy your book. Would you mind if I tried that with mine? I don’t want to step on your toes, so thought I’d ask you. Great idea and the photos are wonderful. I’m reading a book that was in line, and then yours is next. Can’t wait! So many books, so little time. LOL But it’s a good problem! Enjoy your weekend, and if you want to chat, give me a call. I’ll be in and out. 🙂 ❤️🌻

Good way to look at it, Cindy, flattery, but I always like to check in first. You just never know. 🙂 I know, time is a mystery, but when you have a chance to read More than Coffee, I’d love to know your thoughts. And oh wow, you are busy! Well, we’ll connect someday and it’ll be fun. Don’t forget to breathe! 🩷🤗

And I look forward to reading your thoughts when you have time. I’m sure I’ll start your book next week. 👏🏻 Tomorrow mid morning or later in the evening will work. 😍❤️🥂

Oh my gosh, your poor client. What a panic. I used to tell my fourth graders, “No getting sick in class, no bloody cuts, no throwing up. If you feel sick, you leave. Do not ask, do not pass go, just run to the restroom.” It worked. No one in my class every got sick or showed any blood! Would you like me to make some signs?

It wasn’t bad, actually. I was lucky. If I had had an emergency, I would have coped, I’m sure. I might have vomited on them, but they believed me so I didn’t have to go to that extreme. 🙂

Yeah, regarding the inertia thing, once I stop, I really find it hard to get going again. And I get more injuries exercising after a break, compared to working out every day. It’s weird how my body and mind functions like that, almost like I’m geared for struggle, no matter how much I hate it.
