I’m was elated to read my friend Cheryl’s review this morning on my book which came out of the blue.
Cheryl Batavia at Gulf Coast Poet is a good friend and so supportive to all of us in our community. She is an extraordinary poet and author that writes on diverse subjects, sharing her love for our world, all mankind and critters everywhere. She has written 5 wonderful books available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble etc She is a mother of 3 beautiful children and lives with the love of her life Robert. Wonders is her latest book of poems about love and relationships. Each chapter is dedicated to the men that have influenced her life with Robert being front and center.

Here are some photos of our trip. Narnia and Blhat bellied up to the olive oil bar while Brontavalo and I toasted to healthy babies and her birthday. Garrett did his fair share of work but managed to get a couple of rounds of golf in scoring a 77 (first ever, beating his dad). Whooo Whooo!!!

Thank you so much Marsha.., it does radiate out for sure and I’m happy everyone had such a great time. All but Star who hid the whole time. I always hate that for the animals and I’m on edge that no one will get out.
Moji spent much of the last month and a good part of this month so far shut in the bedroom. She is scared of loud banging and strangers in her territory. When she was an outside cat, and the garbage truck came down the street, she hightailed it to the garage into her hiding box. She is just starting to come out when we have familiar company.
oh it’s so frustrating. My biggest fear is losing her outdoors here in unknown territory. I feel like the cat gestapo and if everyone would just close the doors it would be fine,. I always feel so bad for them. I’m glad Moji is adapting💞💞💞💞
She’s fine and has a break now until Wednesday.

Blessings to you all. Wonderful to have such a loving extended family. I am glad to see that such positive things exist in the world. I have no experience with positive things and so I hesitated to comment. I can’t actually identify with a positive family model. But I do see the value of affirming and making “the most of life’s challenges,” “talking things out,” “having your back even when you disagree” etc. Sounds wonderful and I’m happy that you’re so blessed. I didn’t get any of that. I can relate better with the distorted principles of the TV show “Criminal Minds.” My family always had a perverse fantasy undoing of wrongs. I suppose I can say that I saved many lives by not becoming a serial killer. I’ve always wanted to be a compassionate person despite being from a dysfunctional and unloving family where resentment and revenge were the norm (somewhat of an exaggeration to save space). My parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, are dead from at least old age, so they’re a moot point now. So let me join you in a vicarious celebration of joy and optimism.

Thanks so much for taking time to write in-spite of the dysfunctional family you came from. That’s a really hard place to be when you didn’t have the role modeling of love and support to see you through. The fact that you could write this back and share your grievances of your very unfortunate childhood, speaks to your own awareness and healing going on behind the scenes and not a crime scene best of all. The only crime would be to give them that kind of power. It also speaks to you being able to draw some joy and happiness to share in the joy vicariously like you so aptly said. I appreciate that Doug.
Life isn’t easy, even when life looks perfect on the outside but it definitely is a struggle with a background like yours. Even though they are gone, the memories can haunt. Not sure if you’ve gotten my book yet but I wrote it with the hope that that others can truly release the old demons and I’m grateful that so far there have been some really wonderful outcomes. Of course it’s a work in progress which I am constantly cleaning house.
