Happy Fri-Yayyy and Happy Birthday Godson, Connor Licolli!

I’m so excited to celebrate his birthday and head to the theater to see Barbie for his 29th birthday bash. You might ask whats all the fuss? I’ve been asking the same thing, especially since I can’t remember the last time I’ve stepped foot into a theater and barely watch t.v.

But it does look pretty darn good and my Godson is really excited, so anything for him.

Here’s the trailer if you want to check it out. Next week we’ll give you a full review. I’ve been looking for my pink tights and tutu but who knows where they are so I’ll just blow in my usual workout attire.

You may remember Connor from when I shared his enlightening poetry book Atomic Flower that some of you were so kind to buy of 60 insightful poems.

I Found Beauty  

All the songs were a bridge to inner light. 
Forrest Gump and infinite Christmas morning 
are on repeat within my being.  

It is clear all moments are darkly disconnected 
from all other moments. 
I scream for the compassionate gaze 
of Grandfather and Grandmother 

I have never searched for words, only feelings. 
Every loving word is medicine for the poet’s soul. 
I write to feel anything but numb
anything but numb
in the face of endless, no, infinite grief.  

I am shocked that
Christmas morning 
did not make me invulnerable to death.
 
I am shocked that there is still blistering cold
and scorching heat in this world when 
there has been so much love; I feel it. I feel it. 

Should not the existence inevitably be perfect for all?

Have a wonderful weekending!

We have an exciting weekend of trapping skunks and I sure hope I don’t try to turn one into a pet! We paid the trapper to come to trap them humanly and release them into the wild. The first 2 nights we caught zippo and finally caught one on Wednesday and they sill haven’t come to pick him up so I’m feeling horrible for him. There are at least 3 more to go and the tricky part is we can’t let our animals out for fear of getting skunked.

My one daughter is starting to slow down a lot and the baby could come at any time. I’ve started packing my bag of all of the birth paraphernalia I will need to bring and trying my best to catch up on my sleep so I can be fully present to support her and her husband and hubby. We meant the birth team the other day and everyone is delightful.

Should I drop off the blogosphere all of a sudden, you’ll know what happened.
