Hi Everyone,

Big News today, (no the babies not here yet) but I got my first royalty check yesterday, whooo whooo. So it’s only enough to go out to dinner but hey a dinner is a dinner and I won’t have to cook for a night, so that’s a plus. It was especially fun since I never planned on making a dime. My friend said you should take a picture of your first check like we did in the old days. The trouble is nowadays it comes in through PayPal but I suppose I could take a screen shot. It just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

My son was cute when I texted him and let him know and he said “Ohhhh wowwwwwww. How much?” When I told him he said. “Haha, gotta start somewhere”. It was nice to see how your kids return the favor of the words they heard when they were growing up. Never forget you are being listened to even when you think otherwise, no matter how old they get.

As you can see I missed “Wise Wednesday” which turns out was a smart move with the count down to the finish line with contractors and painters scurrying around and me desperately trying to find the right paint colors for touch up. It’s a little like finding a needle in a haystack. Something happens to us nesting moms when we sense the arrival is close and we want to have all of our ducks in a row.

My husband on the other hand can’t understand any of this and reluctantly does his honey do list and pushes back saying the “baby doesn’t care”. Of course it doesn’t but I do and even though my gifted notepad at my desk says “Chaos Coordinator”, I’d like to be fully prepared since I will be at the home birth for my daughter. It’s like xmas everyday with new things arriving to add to my hubby’s honey do list as he sneaks to the golf course, softball and his man cave as much as is humanly possible. Does this have a familiar ring to any of you? 😂

I dug through the barn and tack room and finally was able to find the hope cedar chests with sweaters and blankets by my aunt who has long past which I was so grateful for since work, writing and knitting don’t seem to go together and it’s stitch one, miss two, bitch through every stitch. It’s mindless and I rather like it even with the holes but I’ve NO TIME for that right now. I nearly cried when I found my aunt’s crochet. They were in special plastic containers as well but after 30 years of being stored, they all smelled of mildew so we’ve been busy washing. Thanks to my dear friend, Darcie for sending them these amazing hand knitted outfits for them with love. Thanks Darc.

I checked my email early yesterday morning and got a message from Dawn Pisturino from My Writing Journey saying:

I was blown away as I didn’t even know what Cosmic Health Blog on Blog spot was and then to splash Re-Create & Celebrate everywhere on socials was mind blowing.

When I finally was able to read her blog post, I can’t tell you how elated I was! It’s always such a gift when someone comes out of the blue and surprises you with an affirmation that touches your heart. It was so sincere, heartfelt and such an offering of kindness. I thought “whew, Wise Wednesday was saved by Dawn but every time I sat to write, I had another client or something calling my attention so here it is Thursday with a loooong all about nothing post and basically a Fun Fun-Fri-Yayyyy unless you’ve long stopped reading, in which case I couldn’t blame you. Besides, who even knows what day it is anymore! Today each day blends into one. I just had to share the news because you are my homies and I look forward to sharing what’s happening with you and it’s a gift to share what’s going on with me.
