Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

person holding babys hand

Dancing ladies color my world
in blushing pink.

I doze in and out where life begins
from inception to the last window of time.

Moving memories in boxes
of cedar chests,
where treasures await
the next generation.

Sleep evades me when love meets hope.
New chapters open to
dog eared pages and those
yet to be written.

The tender grip of a newborns clench,
the frail hands of great grandparents blessings,
bridge distance of young and old.

.
Savored moments ignite joy,
where time stands still
gazing into each others eyes.

Have a wonderful week ahead.

Lots of moving parts here moving my Dad out of his house of 33 years and into a retirement home. Preparing for the next birth and lovely visits with baby C (still no name).

Blessings to you in all you do with love and hands of hope.

💗

An eloquent, exquisitely beautiful reflection about the generations. How wonderful it is to see great-grandchildren! It softens the blows of growing older! You are assisting your parents, children, and now great-grandchildren, Cindy! <3 <3 <3

Cindy, a beautiful poem capturing the flux in your life and its huge changes upon you all. One stanza stands out for me:

‘The tender grip of a newborns clench,
the frail hands of great grandparents blessings,
bridge distance of young and old.”

Exquistively you describe the moment my son met my grandfather. With my son on my lap my grandfather reached out for his hand – they held hands for over half an hour, looking into each others eyes, ignoring the conversation around them. In those minutes they formed the closest link and even though my grandfather has passed away the relationship between the two still touches my son and the choices in his life.

Congratulations on becoming a grandmother and it must have been amazing to be present at the birth. Haha! I laughed out loud at your previous post of feeling exhausted and how you could not understand your husband when he said the same after the birth of your own child. Yep, I had just the same reaction.

Cindy, I wish a smooth transition for your FIL – never easy. Take care of yourself too, it is always easy to forget. hugs xx

Ah Yes Beautiful Poem For the Patience
of Awaiting the Next Generation Dear Cindy

Good luck with the move, it’s quite difficult to take care of older people and sometimes it’s best to move them somewhere that they can be properly taken care of. And yay for baby C, excited to see what name they choose! 😊
