Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

Writers Block or Sour Grapes?

Bottled inside are the fruits of your labor,

fermenting,

maturing,

waiting…..

until just the right time,

to pop your words and make a splash.

Your gifts are manifesting into fruition.

Be patient my friend.

Pour each word onto the page slowly,

precisely,

delicately,

savoring the harvest,

celebrating words flowing,

as you dip your quill into the well

where words spring forth,

once again.

Zinfandel 2016 Lake County Zinfandel produced and bottled by OMS Group (whoever they are) Kelseyville, California USA.
When Clay Shannon of Shannon Family Wines bought Steele Winery and opened The Merchantile in Kelseyville, we scored with an amazing case price of 50.00 to move the old wine out. There were 12 different wines in the case. Some of it is barely drinkable but this bottle is awesome. I just so happened to crack the bottle open the other night with another bout of bad new on the tellie, tongue tied with the news and I was shocked to taste this wonderful surprise. I had no idea what was in the case when we bought it so it was like winning the Lottery when I saw the bottle and read the label, “Writer’s Block”. Wish I could buy a few cases of just this.

So it’s true when life gives you sour grapes, turn them into the best darn thing available and in this case it is this Zinfandel. Congratulations OMS and if you’re reading this please do let me know if there’s any more where this came from.

Happy Hump Day!

Cheers,

🍷🍷

Beautifully explained! The poem resonates with the essence of patience and the art of writing. We must keep nurturing our brains, they will surely blossom on the page at the right time. 😇❤

Also the metaphor for making the most of what life offers is simply superb my Queen 👌❤🤍💙.

Even though I don’t drink, I have to admit that’s a cool name for a wine! 😀 Your poem…it’s so timely for me. Just what I needed to read today. Writer’s block is devastating. Thanks for sharing your unique wisdom, my friend. 🙂

I love this, Cindy! 💞💞💞 I frequently refer to the process of letting ideas bounce around in my brain before they are ready to get onto the page as ‘fermenting’.
