This week flew by and as you know by now there’s never a dull moment in my house. Brontovalo couldn’t stand being away from the babies and it was also my Dad’s 89th birthday so she popped in for a quick 3 day visit from New York, much to our hearts delight. My Father In Law also ended up in the hospital with gallstones so we’ve been making the rounds.

We are extremely blessed our kids get along so well. People often ask me how we’ve managed this and I truly can’t take credit or answer that exactly. I will say that respecting each child for their differences, setting expectations of what’s acceptable and what isn’t and loving them no matter what, taught them healthy boundaries.
Their job was to break the rules which they did and ours was to enforce them, which we did. They fought like cats and dogs growing up at times. It was mostly about stealing clothes from each other or teasing or the oldest being the gestapo, throwing her weight around. Over time, they learned what we would tolerate and what we wouldn’t. We never had any expectations of them being friends but being respectful and honoring each others differences without being punitive. It turns out they are truly best friends and would rather spend time with each other than anyone else on the planet. Blessed are we!

Happy 89th birthday to my Dad! Best gift ever is his house is in escrow! It’s been a rocky but fruitful life change. He just recovered from pneumonia and the stress of the move and is settling into his new digs with some great new friends. We had the pleasure of meeting them at his birthday party we had for him Friday.

Hi Cindy, it is fabulous that your girls all get on so well together. My sisters and I also used to but everyone has gone their different ways over the past five years. We all have children of different ages which makes is a little harder as we have all been at different stages of parenting at different times. One has also moved to the other side of the country.
It really is and I think that it’s tough when families start and everyone is dispersed with so much going on. We never think this will happen at times but life’s priorities take over. It’s nice you remain in each others hearts and close. ❣️ Thanks Robbie

Unfortunately, he is at the end of the road but we don’t know how long that will be. He is feeling well and alert right now. He is at peace about it. We are enjoying each moment we can while we have him.
