Someday is today and today I’m a vapid fossil and that’s ok.
When you give yourself time and space you will emerge and be
the “rock star” you are meant to be.
Move fast or slow, just move.
Cindy
I’m fossilized into the chair like the bolts that hold it together.
Sometimes I need to be held.
My brain is vapid searching for meaning.
Today is Move It Monday but what if I sat and became the chair and my mind stared empty into space all day?
Sometimes I need to space out.
It’s raining after all.
What about you?
I had plans to get my daughters and babies together for a mommy and me workout but life happened and I didn’t make it happen.
Some days are like that you know?
Some days I feel cold as the rock I climb.
Some days the hill crumbles and I slide coming down.
Someday is today and today I’m a vapid fossil and that’s ok.
My bones creek and my hips ache but it’s Move It Monday so I’ve gotta lube the joints and chisel my way out of the chair I have become. Just give me a minute to unwind and fire the engines that take more time to start these days. I might stay in first gear all day and move slow.
It’s Move It Monday but who says I have to hit the ground running?
Neither do you but move you will and drag yourself out of whatever chair or mood you’re in. Move fast, move slow, just move in some fashion or we will become the Fossil and inertia will set in.
Once we’re up and running our bodies kick in and start to unwind as we honor our bodies where they are. So start slow and see where it leads you.
Happy Move It Monday!
You are a Rock Star!
And don’t you forget it or I’ll have to come drag you up and out. Tomorrow might be different but since it’s promised to no one, let’s just honor where we are today and remember it changes from moment to moment.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
Smiles,
💗

A vapid fossil – how funny. You are anything but a vapid fossil. I feel that way sometimes, but for me that might be more accurate than for you! For you, never! 🙂
Hahahahaha 😂 This is why I love you so.. It is a funny expression but non the less those were my words today. YOU ARE NOT!! look at you go with all your steps Marsha❣️❣️💗
I needed your poem today. I’m battling with Amazon to get the Kindle version of Story Chat to display in portrait mode rather than landscape. There are NO numbers to call for KDP. Grrrrrrrrrr Put me in a vapid fossilized state. 🙂
Glad I could oblige.. lol. Talk about frustrating. Feeling your pain. I do hate these pieces of our work from one vapid fossil to another.. 😂Hang in there.💕
hahaha Love your sense of humor VF!
We just gotta laugh or we’d cry all the time.. right now.. 💕
True! I’m smiling right now. I finally got ahold of my project manager to correct the Kindle problems with Story Chat Online Conversations! YAY!
Thank you for that lunch break stretch, Cindyloo. My shoulders needed that! Your words and actions are a lovely example of honoring our bodies. Namaste. 🧘🏻♀️🙏🏻💗
You’re welcome and thanks for joining me Michele. I’m so happy hear that my friend. thanks a lot. 💕
Happy to do so, thank you. 🙏🏻💞
💗💕💗

We fossils can Rock! Rock On!
Yes we do.. love it Tim.. Rock on or Rock out.. xo 💕
So nice. 💜
Thanks so much💕
“Sometimes I need to space out.” I agree with you on that. 😁 Girlfriend, I don’t know what my body is doing today, but it is moving a little bit here, there, and everywhere. LOL 🤣😜😂 What a calming video on this Move It Monday my Energizer Rock Star G’Mama! 🌟🤩⭐ Have a FANtabulous week! 🥂
We need that right now especially I think too. You sound like you are on the move and need a toast to that. Mine is jiggling in all of the wrong places 😂. I’m glad you enjoyed the video my dearest love bunny.. I will and you too. xo 💕
🥰💞😘💖😍 Awwwww dawwwwlinkkkkkk!!!
❤️💗💕💓❤️
It’s good to be reminded that we need to move. It’s also good to excuse ourselves when we don’t. Maybe Move-It Monday can be Ta-Ra-Ra Tuesday. Not that I want to wreck expectations or obligations. But I wouldn’t have us ruin our esteem, either. Your commitment to your family is so clear. I hope you can rearrange or have another time together soon.
Thank you, I hope your week is pleasant, too.
Love your T-Ra-Ra Tuesday. It’s just part of a theme I go with since it’s a big part of my life. I’m glad you appreciated it and I hear you. They are important for sure. We may do it tomorrow but they may veto the filming so I may have to be creative. Thanks for your comment and being here. 💕
Very inspirational. Thanks!
Thank you so much John. I’ve been missing you! I do hope all is well! Not sure I saw that I dedicated a blog post in your honor a ways back or not.. 💕
You have such a great attitude, Cindy. Enjoy “movin’ it!”
Thanks so much Diana! I do love that and you too💕
Cindy, I love how you encourage all to “honor our bodies where they are.” That’s the line that really stood out for me in the post, though I enjoyed the poem too. It spoke to me in much the same way as I was training pretty hard on my (now indoor) bike the last few days and aware of my knees, so took it easy with some brisk (gingerly) walking in light rain and snow/ice. Hopefully your get-together with daughters and babies can happen soon!
Hi Steve! Thank you so very much for letting me know. You know the drill and I love that you changed it up and acted on it. Kudos to you. We need to know when to push and when to back off. I’m seeing a shift in my body now and not loving having to pivot but it’s part of the drill. They accused me of just being needed for content… so let’s see. I said “yes of course that’s right.. lol”. 😂🙏🏼
My pleasure and thank you too!
💗💓💕
You described my day beautifully Cindy:) I know those rock states myself but also…I remember those glorious rock star moments too…everything has its time.
Love your ability to ride both waves and they can come in a blink of an eye. Hugs and love Rock Star! ⭐️
This is wonderful. Love this so much!
So nice to hear Belladonna. I’m so glad. Thanks for letting me know! 💕
You are more than welcome!
💓🙏🏼
I did move today–went walking through nature–which fills the body and the soul.
That’s lovely, Mary. So happy to hear. BTW your book is on it’s way.. xo💕
lovely video and very much enjoyed your reminders, Cindy.
“Move fast or slow, just move.”
always something to leave with from here. thank you, Cindy 🤍🙏
I’m so happy you enjoyed it Destiny. You’re very kind. Thank you!🙏🏼
most welcome 🙏🤍🙏
💓💓💓
I hope you feel better soon, Cindy – well done for getting out of the chair 💖
Thanks Ingrid. All is good just juggling a lot.. you know. Lol. Yes, to that💓
Yes, got to be moving.. and moving…Lovely video, too. Thanks, Cindy.
Yes, yes you have it right J M! Thanks so very much. I’m happy you enjoyed it. YOu’re welcome💕
Quite a motivating post Cindy! But i am still ain’t motivated for a physical excercise these days. I mentally too drained😂
Thank you so much Sheereen. I know how busy you are and I think you get a lot of exercise at work walking the halls. You need rest and throw some things in wherever you are like dips or sit ups etc. we will talk! 💓
Definitely we need to hang out soon❤️
Yes to that💕
What a great poem! I force myself to keep moving by taking long walks, working in the yard, doing housework, and pushing a wheelbarrow filled with dirt around the yard (it’s great exercise and really works the muscles). I have degenerative disc disease in my back, and injuries from moving patients and a serious car accident, and I can’t sit for long periods. The exercise strengthens my back and abdominal muscles, keeps me more limber, and decreases the pain in my back and legs. I only take ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer at night. I feel lucky I can walk. I could barely walk for six months after my car accident, but I didn’t miss a day of work, which seems crazy to me now. But my mother always taught us to keep going by her own example. Great post, Cindy!
Thanks so very much Dawn! Good for you! Wow, that is truly great to hear you are out in the garden pushing dirt etc after your accident and your work of moving patients. I love that you are able to beet the odds. I love that your mother was an example for you! Wow, you couldn’t walk for six months. You are an inspiration. The down side of writing is sitting I’m finding… I really have to use my stand up desk! Thanks for sharing all of this Dawn. 🙏🏼💓
Move fast, move slow, just move in…A nice advice, Cindy! I love your positivity. But valid fossil? You are both rock and rockstar for your near and dear ones including me. Love your wonderful video and its message. Keep smiling, the whole week is yours 😊🎉❤️🌹
I responded on my phone and it doesn’t look like it went through kk. Glad you enjoyed my poem. You are too sweet. You know it’s hard to accept certain limitations in my body that are arising when movement has been my whole life and I’m so mindful but gravity does take its toll. Awww THANK YOU sweet KK for care of my soul. You too are a Rock star to all of us, especially me. I love this ” Keep smiling, the whole week is yours 😊🎉❤️🌹”. And yours💕
It’s truly my pleasure, Cindy! You’re always welcome! I presume you’re smiling 😀
Glad you got the message dear KK and thanks for the boost in the arm. Hahahaha… I prefer Rock Star any day so I’m sticking with that. Thanks so much for your kind comment and tuning into the video as well, dear friend. I will and you do the same. I like that ” Keep smiling, the whole week is yours”. Thank you so very much💕
Wow! I really appreciate your concern, Cindy! You replied twice. You’re such a sweet person. Thank you so much! Keep smiling, the week is not yet over. 😊💖
Cindy such a wonderful poem and thank you so much for the video on breathing and slow movement to start the day. Thank you so much.
i’m so happy you enjoyed it Kamal and enjoyed the video as well. it’s my pleasure always. Thank you and you’re so very welcome💕
You are always welcome dear Cindy 🙏💞🙏💞
Thanks again, Kamal💕💕
Always welcome dear Cindy 🙏☺️
Rock on, girl, rock on!
“You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching,
Love like you’ll never be hurt,
Sing like there’s nobody listening,

💃
Thanks for the pep talk Eugi. I always love that one. So great and off we rock. In the rocking chair or dance floor or wherever we go. 💕🙌🏽
My pleasure, Cindy! 💖
I love this post, Cindy! It feels as if you wrote it for me. 🙂 Since my foot issue, I don’t walk the way I use to, no power walking, and each step with my right foot is soft, normal, but softer than before. Before this damn nerve threw a wrench in my routine (excuse the language). And my left leg aches every now and then. Every pain I have is intermittent, not constant which is a good thing, but so random that they’re hard to diagnosis. Anyway, I’m not complaining because it’s not chronic pain, but I need to get on my bike more. Motivation has been hiding during this time with my FIL’s decline and passing. But I’ve told myself that I have to get back on track. I apologize for the venting, but I love your words and chair metaphor, so well written. I am walking Copper again so that’s good, but we’re both slower. LOL Oy vey! 😃🩷
I’m so glad it resonated with you Lauren but so sorry you are still experiencing pain. I thought it was over, damn it. No worries of language here. That’s so frustrating. I’m so sorry. It really sucks dealing with changes in our aging bodies. I too am experiencing changes that I don’t recognize as my body and it’s hard to come to terms with it. Just yesterday my right bunion started acting up and my toes were in pain and I thought I needed to jump on my bike and elliptical too. ugh! No apologies needed ever. Glad you liked the metaphor. Hunter and cooper and you and I would get along well. lol 🤪. it’s hard to get my head around it too as i’ve lots of hiking trips I want to do still!!!💕
I still want to hike too, but I’m not sure what the future holds. My foot pain is so unpredictable, Cindy. I didn’t have pain for almost 3 months, even during a camping trip in August with light hiking, and then in October it flared up. Several jolts out of the blue during the month. If I had let it, it would’ve messed up my mind, but I’m not giving it that power anymore. The jolts are quick and have been mild which is tolerable. It’s not everyday or chronic for which I’m thankful. So I acknowledge and move on. Now for 2 weeks, it’s been silent. I’m feeling more normal but with a cloud hanging over me because each day could be different. The doctors don’t have answers, but I’m still wearing Hokas, comfy but casual :), and using CBD cream and I just tried acupuncture with two more treatments coming up. I can’t tell if anything works because of the intermittent pain, but psychologically it helps. And then for the last month I’ve had new, dull aching in my left leg. My doctor said that it sounds like aches from aging. Ugh! is right! But it’s not bad. I can deal with it. Like you said, I had to come to terms with the foot pain because it may be something I’ll have to deal with moving forward. So, I believe that’s what I’ve done. On a lighter note, maybe someday we’ll meet in person. That would be fun! Take good care and I will do the same. 🩷🤗
We only get 2 minutes to talk about our nagging injuries of wear and tear lol. It would be jun .. you can come and swim in my pool.. I need to do that more.. I hear ya for sure on all of this and share your pain. Sound like you are dong everything you can.. xo 💕
It’s a reminder that we all have our days of feeling stuck, but the important thing is to keep moving, whether fast or slow. Take your time, and you’ll find your rhythm. Keep going! Unique inspiration always. Loved the video my dearest Queen 👸 ❤ lots of love n respect 🥰🙏🙏🙏
YES, that’s exactly it Suma my insightful poetess Princess. We move in the best wqy we know how to move. So happy to know you enjoyed the video. Very Much.appreciated. Thanks always for your reflections 💕
Really nice! ❤️
Thanks so ver much. 💕
Sounds very much like your book
Beautiful
What’s a vapid fossil
And what’s mommy and me workout 😛
Glad you enjoyed it D.
vapid: : lacking flavor, zest, interest, animation, or spirit :
Fossils are remnants left in rock of a living creature: the remnants have been petrified over many years and they leave an impression of what the animal was like. Fossilizing is a word for this process, which happens slowly over time.
It’a class where Mom’s and babies work out together. 💕
Even, fossilized bones given the right motivative stimuli, rocks life like a glistening star!😊
Beautiful addition Richard. Yes, so true. Thanks for your astute comment💕
You’re welcome!
Who is that old lady you are describing. It surely can’t be you. You are the energizer bunny! :>) Yes, we do have to move or lose it!
I love that quote by you in the start because it really is about moving no matter what pace you move at!
This is so relaxing Cindy. Thanks
I’m so happy you found it so Sadje💕
Thanks for sharing that❣️
You’re always welcome ❤️
Total agreement. You just have to get up and move. Even if a turtle passes you up. There are always things to explore and things worth doing.
hahahahaha 😹… beating a turtle is one I can handle.. Lol. Thanks Curt! Always❣️
They were tortoises in Africa. Big ones with beautiful shells. But they still moved at the same pace… Grin.
Done well
Thanks much💕
