Unique Times

Where I share my jewels of wisdom of life

silhouette of mountain

One battle,
one mind;
prisoners of mankind.

When freedom is a choice we can exercise our rights.
When it’s taken away we are at the mercy of others with no free will.

But what if the prisoner is you? The voices in your head that turn on you like a battleship ready for combat but there are no lions or missals at your door, only those you fabricate in your mind?

What if the sun is beaming but you still feel cold inside or the Arctic ice is impenetrable and you feel hot?
We have found solace in misery, warmth in cold, coolness in heat, confusion out of protection in daily living by absorbing the bombardment of the catastrophic news.

Just for today feel the earth under your feet,
the birds song to greet you, the sun on your back or the chill in your bones.

Just for today cast all worries to the wind. Just be.
Let your soul feel the disheartening of our human race and cry the tears till there are no more.

Let go of needing to know how things will turn out for the world and yourself. Do the best you can,
with what you have to work with.

Be in the NOW!
Sorrow, anxiety, worry, retreat are not the problem.
You are.
Just be.

Each of us are light beams of stars, cradle them, nurture them,
allow others to be where they are.

Take care of your soul with a warm embrace, hug a tree, walk in nature, take a bath and let the beast of your mind out to free you of needing to be ok with what’s not ok.

Just be!
That is enough!
The insanity is actually an illusion.
Do you know this?
Maybe there in lies the problem.

This moment is all we have.
Our tears are bigger than tsunami.
We are a drop in the ocean, a blade in the meadow.

Together we hold each other in body and spirit taking one day at a time.
Don’t miss the moment, trying to change what can’t be changed or pretend it isn’t happening. Do what you can.

Emerge when you’re ready to face the day, shield in hand and carry on.
Put down your judgements and let the words of truth envelope you.
Don’t let hate be your guide.

You have always been enough and you mustn’t merge with the enemy
or become one, only the one that lives inside to set you free!

Defense mechanisms are mischievous things.
Shakespeare’s assistant, Charles Hamlet, was fortunate to run out of ink before finishing “To be or not to be.” He was given the day off to think about “To be”. The next day he suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. But he did get to rest in 1603 until 1776 when there was some kind of fuss over at the colonies. Before then he got to drink a lot of tea.

Just for today, and today is every day! So nicely told in your heartwarming and inspiring lines! I totally agree with you, when you say that problem is you. Let’s do what we can, and forget the rest, this is my principle from my college days. This poem is very close to my heart. The way you have written in free flow shows that these warm feelings have come straight from your heart. Well done, Cindy! My sincere regards 🙏💐💖
